A little birdy who I know follows the Women's Basketball program a lot informed me at a Red's game the other day that Aly Byorick is transferring to a different school... Does anyone know if there is any truth to that?

I hope it isn't true, but I wouldn't be surprised if it were. With Dee Dee and Moss coming in next year, and with Jerri already at SG, I really don't see where Aly is going to fit in. It would probably be at least her senior year before she would get big minutes. If she wants more playing time, I'd have a hard time blaming her for transferring.
It's too bad because I think she'll be a very good player wherever she is.

I hear she is transfering to Lehigh. I wish her well.

You would be correct... I just checked out LeHigh's website and sure enough Aly is already listed as a player on their roster for the 2008-2009 season... Soon long Aly... We'll miss you!

Lehigh, huh? I guess she'll look good in purple. Puzzling that she never really got her shooting together from the outside. I didn't see any high school clips of her, but after watching last year, I'm wondering how she averaged more than 500 pts a year in high school.
Nice person that was a great representative of XU. Good luck to her in the future!

Lehigh has brown as a school color, not purple. She probably wanted to be closer to home, seeing as how her hometown is about an hour and a half from Lehigh's campus.

I was thinking of Grape Nehi, which is purple and rhymes with Lehigh.
For those of you who interested in toasting Aly's successful transfer, a fitting Grape Nehi cocktail recipe suitable for summer follows:
2 oz vodka
2 oz Chambord® raspberry liqueur
3 - 4 slices lemons
ice cubes
Enjoy!
