Bill Walker injures knee again (http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/draft2008/news/story?id=3445779)
This is the reason I never blame a kid for leaving early to take a pro contract. What if Rose or Beasley came back, injured a knee, injured it again the following year, and was never again the same player. In a perfect world all kids would go to college for four years and never get hurt. We all know the latter isn't happening, so why should the former?

ouch, 2 knee injuries in about 2 years. Can he come back to KState? Because NBA teams aren't going to touch him with a 10 foot pole right now with his knee problems.

It seems as though he hasn't hired an agent yet, so he could come back. Although, if he finds out from many teams that no matter what he does at K-State (assuming the injury is serious) it won't affect his draft status, he might stay in and then rehab with his NBA team/doctors. If the injury is that bad and could cost him next season, I could see teams thinking that, even if he comes back to K-State and plays well, he's always going to be a risk with the knee and not worth a high pick. So, no matter what, he could turn out to be a late-1st or a 2nd Round pick. If he stays in the draft, even if he will miss next year, I'm sure a team would use a 2nd Rounder on him. Not much risk there and he does have potential if healthy.

The risk is not his knees so much as the fact that he is a SG/SF with no outside shot what so ever. That is why he should go back to college and develop his game. Imagine him having to match up with Paul Pierce, Carmelo Anthony, Tayshaun Prince, Manu Ginobili or anyone else in the NBA that is his same position. Obviously he is much younger than those guys and has not even been drafted, but his game does not even appear to be able to develop into something like their level of play.
