It's a long, long climb out of the loser's bracket.

X was 6-22 in their non-conf. games, so their 19-8 conf. record may be a little deceptive.

Not that deceptive. The A-10 is horrid. Put it this way: according to the Massey ratings, not only is Charlotte at #85 the A-10's only top 100 team, but they are nearly the A-10's only top 200 team (Dayton is second best at #196).

For what it is worth, the coach has publicly said that he will schedule as hard as possible in the OOC (hence playing teams like Vandy) to tune them up for the A10. I think we should get used to bad OOC results and positive A10 records. After awhile that may turn around and we have better OOC results. Maybe it's something that we will have to live with, but I do think that XU baseball is improving.
Let's dig ourselves out of the losers bracket. There is still time

Charlotte pounding away at Rhodey. If we can beat Duquense, we'll get a rematch against Rhode Island for a chance to go up agaisnt Charlotte.
And man, did you guys see the 8th inning? Two errors allowed X to load the bases with none out, down 3. And they didn't score...terrible....

Now just beat Charlotte twice. Simple, right?

Yeah. Nice comeback to get this far, though.
