Jordan apparently picked up an Offer from X recently.

Kid can play. Not sure if hes Xavier good though. I played against him a couple years ago.
Jordan apparently picked up an Offer from X recently.
Recently as in last Thursday when he was here on an unofficial visit.
Don't look for him to make a decision anytime soon.

Sibert apparently had a very impressive showing at It Takes 5ive. His stock is skyrocketing and is picking up offers everyday. Rivals says by the end of the All-Ohio/D.C. Assault game coaches from Ohio State, Xavier, Cincinnati, Dayton, Tennessee, North Carolina, Louisville, Kentucky, Indiana, Illinois, Minnesota, Virginia Tech, Virginia, West Virginia, Georgetown, Miami-Florida, Notre Dame, and Purdue had all taken a look at him.
He has new offers from UC, Ohio State, Minnesota, and Tennessee to go along with Xavier, and both Miamis. He says he expects more very soon.
The rivals article is much like the bucknuts, he is very careful and complimenting each unique aspect each school holds for him.
He says he loves Thad's style of play (whatever that is) and much about how great it would be to play with Jared Sullinger who is "like a brother to him."
His dream school is in the SEC and getting the Tennessee offer was a "dream come true."
He compliments Miller on how personable he is and how Xavier is very high on his list. The kicker though is that Sibert says, "I appreciate everything Xavier has done for me."
It is my opinion that Xavier falls out of favor with Sibert as offers continue to pour in around the country, especially the SEC. Lets hope he is a kid that more than "appreciates" what Xavier and Sean Miller has done and will continue to do for him.

With the addition of Crawford and the possibility of only two ships for next year (one as of now) do you think Jordan is a priority? We seem to have a glut of guards at this point and I would think that the staff would be focusing on front line players.
Good for Jordan BTW. Hopefully he continues the momentum off this tournament through the rest of the summer.

Sibert's 2010, so we should have more than one or two scholarships available when his time rolls around.

Having other big time programs recruiting a kid doesn't put x behind the eight ball. X has done enough to compete against anyone. Depending on whether we get a 2g this year may impact his choice. Kids are looking for programs that can offer immediate playing time and X should be looking good in 2 years with Dante being a sr. and only Lyons or Walsh being jrs.

Doesn't it seem like Miami (The U) recruits a lot of guys from the area? Robert Hite is one that comes to mind. I was wondering if any of their coaches has a connection to the area or if they just like recruiting here.

From the Enquirer's high school blog:
As we reported in a previous post, Princeton senior guard Orlando Williams has orally committed to play basketball at Miami.
Princeton coach Josh Andrews said senior guard/forward Marquis Horne has offers from Bowling Green, Kent State, Miami, Marshall, Ohio University, St. Bonaventure and Western Michigan.
Junior guard Jordan Sibert has offers that include Ohio State, Tennessee, Louisville, Xavier and West Virginia. Andrews said Sibert is "in no rush to make a decision."

Jordan Sibert was just awarded 5 star status on Rivals coming in as the 18th ranked overall and 3rd best shooting guard in the 2010 class. He just enjoyed a visit to Ohio State and is still keeping XU in the mix. My gut tells me that if Tennessee goes after him he will eat it up.

My gut tells me you read other boards.
My gut tells me you read other boards.
Especially ones where he has said "I grew up rooting for Tennessee". It doesn't take rocket science.

Sibert has narrowed his list of schools to Ohio State, West Virginia, Xavier, Louisville, Maryland, Miami and Cincinnati.
Still not a very narrow list.

And notice that despite having an offer from Tennessee, they didn't make his final cut.

Well Sibert saw enough at OSU this weekend to make a verbal. I think this was a luxury recruit for Xavier more than anything, would have been nice, but we need other positions filled in the 2010 class. We need a Center and another SF.

Must have been impressed with the football team struggling to beat another inferior team.
