Just thought I'd let all the alumni know that tonight the graduating class of 2008 will be participating in the Montgomery Mile. A little after 5 we will be starting down at Quatman's for dinner then making our way down to Dana's to end the night.
I am not sure of the total numbers but I am told that there is a total of 10 bars on Montgomery so if anyone is at one of those many bars, feel free to buy us all drinks to celebrate graduating from Xavier.
Also, the rain isn't going to stop us. We laugh in the face of rain.
That sounds like a great time. No driving either, which is always a good call.
Have fun!

You're going to miss out on the bar down the road from the Salvation Army in Norwood that I can't think of the name of. It looks scary from the outside but is full of awesomeness on the inside. $2 for huge goblets of beer, a hilarious jukebox selection, plenty of friendly locals, pool, and darts.
We started our Norwood Pub Crawl there and ended at Dana's for one of my bachelor parties back in 2001.

I like the Quat, and The Mound is a decent spot. Even including Dana's, I can't think of what the other 7 would be. I guess Wings and Rings would count. What else is there?

Quatmans, The Mound, Sidelines, Wings and Rings, then you have to go off Montgomery a little to go to the Happy Hollow (by Salvation army) then Brass Rail, the Tropical, Randy's, Monty's, Stones and Danas
Those are the ones we did last year after Thursday of Finals

Don't forget the Dew Drop Inn. They have Senior Citizen's Happy Hour specials! We did that same trip my Senior Year after finals, except we called it the Norwood Shuffle. I ended up with 18 stitches (long story) in my head and a hell of scab just in time for graduation. The folks loved it!
Still, one of the best nights of my life until the stitches & the ER. We only had 2 bars to go too.

I think you all should have a beer at the remains of the The Woods and bow your heads and chug that beer....

Isn't The Dew Drop now called Randy's? I know there was a name change somewhere along the path.

It is indeed now Randy's. If it is the same as last year, they have dollar drafts (the 2 beers on tap were Bud Light and Miller Lite), the bowling game left from the Dew Drop, a terrible jukebox, and great owners. Its surely worth your time

Just got back and some how I am cohearent. Here are the 9 bars we hit: Quatman's, The Mound (my new favorite bar, mainly because of the Xavier only room), Sidelines, Sorento's, Happy Hallow Inn (creepiest bar I've been to), Brass Rail, Randy's, Monty's and finished it off at Dana's.
Bars we didn't get to for various reasons: Wing's and Ring's, Soupies, The Woods, Stone's and the Tropical.
Hell of a night and a great way to start senior week. Thanks for the well wishes.

I like the mound. The wings are decent too. Friendly people.
Apparently the former Norwood chief of police hangs out there. He did when he was the active chief too, and on more than one occasion, the staff at the Mound had to take his gun from him because he was too drunk.

Where is the Mound?
It's about a couple of blocks before Quatman's on the right if you are coming from campus.

The Tropical was a favorite of ours when we were at Xavier. Closest bar to Xavier w/ shuffleboard. We once witnessed the craziest bar fight of all time there. The locals were breaking pool sticks over each others heads and backs, and throwing chairs. It was a wild place.
