Personally, I mostly love the the nytimes. And then I stumbled on this article:

http://www.nytimes.com/2008/05/04/nyregion/nyregionspecial2/04Rintro.html?ei=5124&en=6b4b34fd34a8678e&ex=1367467200&partner=permalink&exprod=permalink&pagewanted=all

absolutely hilarious and condescending at the same time. Way to go.

That was awesome! Great find. I'm trying to pick a favorite review, and I just can't do it.

I like this line from the over dramatic Outback reviewer:

The whole experience makes you forget, for a brief time, that you’re sandwiched into a parking garage in downtown White Plains, even if you don’t exactly hear the whisper of the tradewinds across the Coral Sea. And even if the jammed waiting area, on a busy weekend night, seems less like a welcoming station than the Great Barrier Reef.

Hilarious. The poor, sophisticated reviewer from Manhattan struggled being in the suburb of White Plains NY and to have to eat at a place where the masses eat.

But in the end, he enjoyed his meal and understands why the masses like outback.

Absolutely hilarious and condescending. All the reviews are like that.

These lines are good to, for the review of the cheasecake factory:

On a recent Saturday night, there were at least 150 people in their best jeans and T-shirts, beepers in hand, happily waiting 30 or 40 minutes for tables.

Their saintly patience might have been tied to the balmy weather, or perhaps to the knowledge, deep in their cholesterol-imperiled hearts, that the meal ahead would involve giant portions and joyous noise.

I like this from the outback review:

"Table for two? The teenagers staffing the post slid their eyes down the long list of names as though working a particularly difficult problem on an AP statistics test. “Ummm, 70 to 75 minutes,” one finally said. I’m not sure what was more unnerving, the length of the wait or the precision of the estimate."

And this from the Red Lobster review:

"A whole wiggly lobster plucked from the tank will go for market price. But other items, like lobster tails, shrimp, fin fish and even chicken are bought from reliable sources in large discounted quantities. Red Lobster has seafood inspectors stationed throughout the world. The savings are then passed on to the diner."

The reviewers missed a lot....a damned lot
Outback Steak House pan frys its steaks. True. Also, ask for medium, you get steak held over a candle for 30 seconds and an argument from the manager that this "is medium." I hate well-done, but also hate steak tartar.
The best things on the Olive Garden menu are the endless salad (my wife's love) and the minestrone soup, mine..damned good. The baked 5 cheese ziti is also very good.
PF Changs is everything they said it was and worse. No restaurant is worth a 2 hour wait, even if you can find a stool at the bar. There are two things that make PF Changs absolutely worth visiting--the Won Ton Soup WITHOUT THE WONTONS...absolutely wonderful. And the salmon as mentioned.
Red Lobster--Get the New England clam chowder and insist it be HOT. The biscuits are fantastic and their salmon, crab legs (king or snow) the small salad with shrimp vinegarette dressing are excellent. Rest has too much stuffing and batter.
Applebees--I like the French Onion soup, but again INSIST IT BE HOTTER THAN ALLOWED BY LAW. And it will be warm and palatable, not cold when you finish it. Their riblets aren't bad but the sauce is way to sweet. :D

What restaurants do these people normally review? The scrip club that Pacman Jones went to because he couldn't find anyplace else in Manhattan to eat?

The disdainful tone reminds me of Ignatius J. Reilly.
