From the Indystar (http://www.indystar.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080501/SPORTS0601/80501050)

"Indiana University basketball player Eli Holman went to IU basketball coach Tom Crean today seeking his release so he could transfer from the school. By the end of the meeting, however, Holman had become so agitated that the IU Police Department was called.Crean said in a statement from the university that he saw Holman as presenting “a danger to himself

IUPD Captain Jerry Minger confirmed that his department was called to the lobby of Assembly Hall at 3:40 p.m. today. According to Minger, his department was called because “there was an agitated, angry black male who had thrown a potted plant of some kind.”

Ouch.

Seriously, hasn't IU been through enough over the last 10 years? Knight had a glorius melt-down to end his career, Davis was hired using extortion from the players, Davis went on to do a final 4, then freefall to the point that some SERIOUS talent left the indiana borders. Then Sampson......total disaster. Now Crean has had a couple guys de-commit, he steals one from where he left, then he's gotta get campus 5-0 to take a player out of his office.

Enough already!

Well then Hettel, I guess all that means is that dayton has passed IU as a program as well.

So much for Indiana being a better job than X.

Talk about a depleted roster. Crean has said that Basset and Ellis will not be reinstated and that DeAndre Thomas has also been dismissed from the team. This leaves 3 scholarship players returning, 4 signees for next year and 2 walk-ons.

Crean was saying they need to build a family...it'll be interesting to see how the natives take next season. Reading the boards, they say they don't care about the record next year. Easy to say in the off-season.

I'm surprised Crawford hasn't jumped ship yet, this program will take probably the rest of his career there to rebuild and many good teams would want to take him.

This is pretty similar to the UC situation. Scummy coach leaves and leaves the roster depleted for the next guy to clean up.

The IU trainwreck should be interesting to watch next year.

This is pretty similar to the UC situation.

As soon as you think that they can stop looking back and get moving forward, something new arises. It must suck to be an IU fan right about now.
