I am proud to say that I do not own a Chad jersey, while many of my friends have pissed their money away on them. I chose the always loyal and hard working Willie Anderson's jersey. I still can't think of a better jersey that the Bengals offer.

Your buddy with the blog is real smart posting his name and phone number associate with a hate blog.
Grow up people, mailing your jersey to Chad's home is no less juvenile than the sheeyat Chad is pulling.

Considering what the Bengals have done in response to Chad's and Drew Rosenhaus move, I think they're taking care of thins just fine.
Turning down high draft choices for a trade? Marvin calling Chad's bluff and saying "Ok, don't show up. We'll move on."
Two things should be noed here. If the Bengals are successful in making him fulfill the terms of his contract, they will set a precedent for the rest of the league in dealing with agents of Rosenhaus' antics.
But there will be two critical times, one for the Bengals and one for Chad. The Bengals D-Day is anytime before the start of the draft Saturday. If they want the kid from USC they may have to trade up to get him. And they probably could get Oakland's draft choice in the first round and another for Johnson's contract. That would be tempting.
But if they stand pat, the critical time for Johnson will be the Monday after the first game in Baltimore. That's when the big paychecks start and that's usually when players find they like money too much to continue the charade.
I am very surprised Chad hasn't used the line, "It's nothing personal, just business." But then, Rosenhaus already has.
There is one way to quickly end all this crap. Just ignore 85. Oh, and hang onto your jerseys. They may soon fetch a good priceon eBay

You mean like the Bears already did with Lance Briggs?

What do the Bengals have to lose? They are going to stink next year anyways, so we can at least have some fun watching Chad freak out.
Here's what I think will happen though. If the Bengals trade Chad after June 1 they can spread his cap hit out over 2 years. I think they will trade Chad for a defensive starter and a pick (possibly a conditional pick) in next years draft, if someone makes a decent offer after the draft. We could really use an impact veteran on the defensive side of the ball, and draft picks, even 1st rounders, are hit or miss. There are probably enough teams in need of a WR that we could get a decent LB, DT, or DE after the draft to come in and play right away. That is what I see happening.

As far as trading after June 1 for a defensive starter, there is a lot of talk about Lito Sheppherd (sp?) from the Eagles. They need a WR and signed Asante Samuel. It would allow the Bungles to move Hall to nickle, and have Joseph and Sheppherd to start, and also get Deltha the hell out of here. I would like a 3rd round pick along with him but who knows.

The Eagles are also trying to go after Roy Williams from the Lions and Boldin in Arizona, and apparently the Lions are looking to move Williams, so if the Bengals wait until June 1st, some of the options could be gone.

Both of those teams deprately need defense, and especially CB's as well.
