Don't know much about the PGA, but taking Tiger seems to be a safe bet.

Before the tourney, I was hoping for a Geoff Ogilvy win...not looking all that great as of today. My 2 year old daughter wants Ian Poulter to win...we were watching it yesterday and she said she liked his pink pants, hat and shoes. She kept saying she wanted "pink pants" to win. So, at this point, I have no choice but to root for Pink Pants Poulter.

He certainly has the game to win it....I also think Paul Casey could do it..but its hard to predict how some of these younger guys will do under the pressure Master's Sunday.

Damn, I didn't realize Immelman got to -11. Tiger is gonna be praying for 30mph gusts cause he needs the leaders to do some crawdaddin'.

Wow. That's gonna be hard to overcome.

Definitely pulling for Flesch. I've met him a time or two and he's a great guy.

Also pulling for a Tiger charge just because. It's too bad he shot as high as he could have possibly shot given the way he hit the ball today. He easily could be sitting at 8 or 9 under right now.

Tiger has narrowly missed a lot of puts all tournament long. Sometimes they fall, sometimes they don't I guess.

Tiger is behind going into the final round. He just does not win tournaments if he is not the leader at the start of the 1st round. That is where Nickluase and other greats have it all over Tiger, the ability to come from behind.

I imagine the weather is not much different there as it is here, 120 miles away from Augusta National. It's bright and sunny but A LOT cooler today than it was yesterday with gusty winds (20-30mph). Should be an interesting day on the course. We'll see who makes the adjustments.

Snedecker seems like a nice guy and I'm sure he is going to do well on the Tour, but, for the love of God, how do you show up for the final round at Augusta with a freakin powder blue shirt on!

What if you win!!

Powder blue, or which ever blue it is, and that green sport coat aren't going to cut it together.

You would think that a Vandy grad would know better.

Tiger is behind going into the final round. He just does not win tournaments if he is not the leader at the start of the 1st round. That is where Nickluase and other greats have it all over Tiger, the ability to come from behind.

Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, Gary Player, Tom Watson, Johnny Miller, Lee Trevino and all the other greats are quick to admit these and many other days that Tiger in every respect has it over them.
Ponder this if you will. Tiger has won numerous tournaments during which he has not led in the first or second round. But when he has/ or is tied for the lead after 54 holes, I believe he has lost only two tournaments.
Ponder also, this. During the just completed Masters, TigerWoods never led at any juncture. Yet, he finished second when the rest of the field ahead of him came back to him, all but one.
Ponder also this. Tiger Woods today and for years to come is regarded as the best golfer in history. He is better than Bobby Jones, Walter Hagen, Byron Nelson, Sam Snead, Ben Hogan Arnold Palmer and all but Jack Nicklaus at this point in his life.
When he fails as he did today, despite the majority of the gallery at Augusta National and damn near the entire nation silently rooting for him, he makes no excuses.
And ponder this. The TV ratings for any tournament that Tiger Woods competes in are almost double those that he does not. Like Michael Jordan, he is an outstanding salesman for the products that he endorses and funds through his foundation more charities than most of us know exist..
Lastly, ponder this. His smile and the way he acknowledges the cheers and applause--standing O's by the way--of the galleries, have made him along with Michael Jordan one of the most instantly recognizable people anywhere. So it the "greats have it all over Tiger," I've yet to see it, and I've been watching those greats for half a century and hopefully for a few years m:Dore.

I find it amazing that Tiger seemed to be "off" his game the entire weekend, missing drives here, and missing puts there. Even so, he missed winning the Masters again by three stinking shots. Amazing.

Even when Tiger is playing poorly he doesn't make mental mistakes that result in double and triple bogeys. That is why he is able to stay in contention even when he is far from his A game. The other guys will play great and get two or three birdies and then give it away with mental errors that result in a double bogey down the stretch.

Not to mention the weeping after he wet the bed.

Brandt Snedeker...go ahead and put him in the "soft pile" with Fred Funk.

Yeah, I don't give much merit to the Tiger come from behind stat. Tiger could hold his own and then some in any era. Still, I think his competition bows down to him too often. There was a quote from Lee Trevino a couple years ago stating the same.

Q mentioned Jack's contemporaries. Jack competed against those folks and still won 18 majors with 19 seconds.
