SLU's New Arena

I went yesterday to the public opening of SLU's new arena. All in all I was very impressed. Instead of a middle overhead video board, there are four flat video boards in each corner, which I love. The sound system was also very nice with speakers all over the arena. SLU has anheuser busch come and make food for free and there was free booze as well. Nothing in the arena was off limits. I got to see all of the locker rooms and medical rooms and everything. They also have two practice courts inside the arena, which are also very very nice. The mid court seats are a little different than the rest of the seats in that they are cushioned. The student section is bleachers directly behind one of the baskets. This will create a way better atmosphere in the student section when compared to the playing in the Scott Trade Center, because they were individual seats, and the students didnt even have to sit in that section. Now all the students will be standing all together in one section.

In short, the Arena was very impressive and so was the presentation put on by SLU to all in attendance.
