He turned himself in... Once a thug, always a thug. I would guess that if these charges go through, Chris Henry's playing days will be coming to a quick end.

Does anyone else expect the Bengals season to be a disaster? Things are not going well.

I am pretty concerned about the upcoming season. However, if we have a fully healthy Rudi, Palmer, TJ, and Watson, I still think we have an above average offense. From there, the difference between a good season and a disaster rests with our lines and DB's, which is obviously a lot.
I would expect Henry to assert the Art Long defense, that he wasn't punching anyone in the head, he was just petting the guy.
And obviously the beer bottle slipped because the grips were worn. Danny Noonan's fault.

I'm surprised this didn't go down last Thursday at Gameday.
Apparently Henry has just been released ...

If these charges stick, I think he can expect to sit the 2008 season.

What a moron. Hanging out with college kids is not cool once you leave the campus to pursue a job, or you have your degree in hand. At any rate, a pro football player has no business partying with UC students even if its at an off campus housing development.
Dumb ass.

Well, I did have some priveleged information about Henry and what happened at a bar downtown a couple of days ago. While on a scene, some of the cops I work with were talking about it and how Henry should have gone to jail at that time, but he was saved from it by a couple of other Bengals pulling his dumbass out of there and the owner not wanting to press charges.
Also note, Henry is not the only Bengal that you might hear be in trouble with the law soon too. I can't get into it, because I really don't want to throw anyone under the bus, but someone has been picking up some friendly ladies down in OTR recently....
I can't believe I got suckered into buying season tickets again. I don't know who is dumber, me, or the Bengal players.

That would be a good topic for a poll.

What a dillhole..can anyone say that they're surprised. I watched that jackass order 2 beers on saturday, twist the caps off and then proceed to walk out the front door of gameday....beers in hand. I seriously doubt he plays another NFL down ever again. He'll get claimed, but i can't imagine a scenario where he keeps his nose clean long enough to stay in the league.

I have some inside information about Thor. I can't get into it, but the real reason he was absent from the board will come to light soon enough.

No surprises here. That guy is such a moron it is amazing.
A college freshmen?????
As a grad student, let me be the first to tell you how young college freshmen really look (and I guess, are). So Chris Henry is at a party, with college freshmen, and finds it necessary to attack one of them?
Words cannot describe that man's stupidity.

I hear that the Dallas Cowboys were trying to trade for him but Roger Goddell wouldn't say if Chris Henry would play or not...

While clearly not a good idea, carrying a beer out of a bar isn't what I would consider a major offense. I see people do it at nearly every game at the Cintas. If only the open container law was the only one Henry ever broke...

I've done it too...but not while I'm on probation for a plethora of other offenses and my employer has told me one more strike and you're out. I wasn;t concerned at the severity of the offense, more the inate stupidity he was displaying. He's simply an ignorant human being
He also looks like Grace Jones
Sadly, his facial structure suggests fetal alcohol syndrome.

Are you sure? Man, they can't let him go. That dude is good. He's very, very good," Johnson said on 1050 ESPN New York.
"We need him. Those are not easy shoes to fill, regardless of the trouble he has gotten into in the past," Johnson said.
Chad says that like he really cares about being here. I'm sick of hearing about both of these guys.

Me and my friends have always thought that Chris Henry resembled a feline. I say good riddance to this guy. Him and Pacman belong with each other like their college days.

I was at the bar/club I think Thor was talking about on Saturday. Let's just say that we left before any problems happened bc there was way too much testosterone in the room - not between my friends and the slew of Bengals that came in - but there was way too many chachi's - I later heard some things - but all heresay.
whoever invented - the shirt untucked/drakkar noir with lots of chains look needs to be shot.
And when you are at a club and you are talking to a female friend and it looks like five or six douche bags are going to pounce - thats when you leave.
EDIT -
I was right - and now that it is out - here it is

I like that the judge called him a 'one man crime wave'. That is hilarious to me.

Well, I hope he gets his act together and can resume playing football. He was a talented player. I seriously hope he doesn't wind up in the division, although I don't think his style matches Roethlisberger's well.

I really don't care if they take him back because I am a Bears fan but as a football fan I think they would be making a big mistake....he has been arrested 6 times since being with the Bengals...so it would be just a matter of time before he is in trouble again...let him go find other employment...

I'd be surprised if they let him back. Maybe they are willing to chance it and make a run at the playoffs. Who knows.
(For the record, I wouldn't let him back)
