The Reid Ducharme will be returning to the Cintas

I'm a bit shocked at Ducharme's stats so far. I thought at that level he'd look more like Craft does at Miami.

X -26.5 total is 143. Seems absurdly low total. Predicting something like 85-58 game? Interesting

I like what I see of Foster and Green so far.

Double the half time score and it’s close.

I think Vegas may have a future. It was just wild to me because every other game so far the o/u was at least 10 points higher

Pretty close. Siena didn’t seem to have much of an offense but good to see the d play well again.

Ho hum win. Green is playing really well when given opportunity, at least on the offensive side. We really should be undefeated heading into the crosstown. Never know what first game away from Cintas could bring though.

I thought Reid looked ok. Better than expected IMO. He missed some but had a good stroke.

Sean was pissed in the post game presser. Talk of basically guys being selfish and looking out for them instead of doing what’s best for the team. Basically calling guys out about looking to score vs looking to win because they don’t play defense. It was pretty direct, so he was obviously making a media point that he don’t care, it won’t be tolerated.

Didn’t say who, but I’m guessing Maddox? That’s my best guess because dude is always hunting shots?

Maddox played 16 minutes. Shot 2-10 overall and 0-5 from 3. No assists and only 2 rebounds. He’s taking a shot every 1 1/2 minutes at that rate, and not making them. Stop shooting! Has to be him that Sean was calling out.

Maddox has been a little disappointing so far. I thought he’d be someone that had a chance to start and maybe he thought the same, so he’s pressing a bit. Hopefully he settles into a role as the season rolls on. If not, Trey will take all his mins

Just watched the presser...geez he was pissed. Very controlled professional pissed, but pissed. Certainly seems like it was directed toward a few of the guys, Maddox being one of them. It may have been directed toward most of the bench players. He was not happy with the defensive effort from a few players for sure.

Wondering if a player made a little remark to him - and if his immediate rection was "ah hell no, this isn't going to infiltrate my team", then I absolutely love it.

Whoever it was directed to, I'm guessing that player(s) knows exactly who it is, and for his own sake, eats his humble pie and locks back in.

Love Miller's press conference. He does not eff around does he?

I went into last night's game thinking that we need to get Maddox off the schneid and the best way to do that was to get him more shots against teams like Siena. My thinking was that he needs to be confident enough off the bench against B.E. that he doesn't shot hunt. Watching the game, I think he was shot hunting. Maybe you can make that same argument against Green also except Green has shown he is a pure shooter. Last night was a good example of that. If Green is open, I think I want him to take the shot. Maddox has a history of making them (and I believe he will make them) but he needs to let the opportunities come to him rather than forcing shots.

Per Sean, "it will be interesting to see how we go from here".

I'll be watching Monday night to observe whether he instills a new attitude in this team. Pretty sure he will.

I tried to watch, but had all kinds of issues and a lot of what I saw had no audio. I don’t think k I saw Madrid at all, but his stat line tells me a lot.

I think Green is becoming exactly what we need. A guy off the bench that the other team needs to adjust for. You can’t let him get daylight. His D is bad because he’s got no length or reach. So he’s a liability on that side of the ball. His offensive influence needs to be such that it offsets his defensive impact. He does t need to score a ton, but he’s got to be a focus of the opposing defense. A game like last night imprints that fact to the opponents during scouting.

Maddux is different. He’s more of a “three down back”. He could start on a lot of teams and contribute in many ways on both sides of the ball. He may be pressing to make sure he does t lose minutes to Green or to try to get his way into the starting lineup…

Maddox is for sure trying to make his mark, but not necessarily how the team needs it. He has to understand his place on the roster and contribute to its success. He's not taking minutes from McKnight or Conwell, so find your niche to make the team better.

Green does shot hunt from time to time, but he's simply a much better shooter, so you can live with some of those, as long as he's not forcing them in key moments of the game.

I thought Siena's center, #13 (Carey I think) looked like the kind of player that X might look at in the transfer portal in a year or 2. Dude had some real skills and quick feet. I think with some bulk and experience, he might play at the BE level.

It would certainly explain why David Miller did the postgame with Joe and Byron and not Sean.

Sean was clearly pissed at one player, but I was impressed by the overall defensive effort. Siena may not be the hardest test, but everyone seemed committed to defense.

My takeaway was that we need to be patient with this disruptive style of defense over forty minutes. Not lose our minds when Xavier is not up 20 (or even down) 10 minutes into the game. The constant deflections and steals (then fast break points) can wear the opponent down over the course of the full game.
