"Is there anybody here from the Xavier administration? Do you know when graduation is? That goddamn Burrell, every year, every goddam game makes a shot against us. He was averaging 7.5 points coming into the game in seven league games - or eight games. Doesn't look like the same player, playing great defense. Dagger. I want to be here to make sure that sonofabitch gets out of here to be honest with you."

I appreciate how we've eased into the new season with some pretty weak opponents. Good to get some reps/confidence before the caliber of competition takes a major step up on Saturday.

Little better start. Like to see Foster on their best post player for D

Is Hughley going to shoot the ball every time he touches it? Because if he keeps making it, I am okay with that.

He’s playing great! He’s so active I wouldn’t be surprised if he makes 2 or 3 in a row

In a couple months he’s gonna be a problem for everyone

Hugley is so much fun to watch!

Threemantle inheriting the trailing Jack Nunge three, looking great out there.

Swain doing everything on the floor, except making threes.

Hughley eating up some good minutes, but a little loose with the ball.

Refs are dolts calling third foul on McKnight, but giving Green good playing time.

Need more free throws.

This must be what people are talking about with practice end how it seems like everyone can shoot. Was good to see. Outside of some obvious- it was good to see the big to big passing. Didn’t know anything about Fletcher. As he gets healthy and more playing time as season goes on he looks like a guy that can grab boards.

Hunter seems tight. Been a rough start coming back- but not unexpected.

Love this from Martelli.

I was wondering why Paul brought this up until I realized who was courtside at Cintas doing the broadcast last night. It's been 12 years since we've been treated to a Phil Martelli appearance at Cintas.

Gotta think that was Swain's first double-double in a Xavier uniform.

Dailyn is so so good and only touching the surface of what he can become. A double-double in 25 minutes is insane. If he keeps improving on his offensive game, he will be a first-round pick.

Also really happy to see Maddox get his game going and building that confidence. He needs to be that microwave spark plug off the bench and do what he is capable of every game.

Dailyn's jam from the wing was reminiscent of Sumner. He has a good handle and is great in the open court. Good teams will have to start checking him on a change of possession to try to slow him down.

Really nice to see Green and Maddox have confidence boosting games. They are both going to be very important to this year's team and I want Green for 4 years--I think he can be great.

Now if we can have that kind of game for Rome and Foster...we'll be in business. A lot of room for this team to grow, but that was a lot of fun.

Starting to look a little more in rhythm and understanding/fitting into their roles. Look much more fluid offensively. Now JSU was not very good, but noether were the first two games either.

Saturday should be fun

Yep, looking forward to Saturday. I really have no idea about this team, but we should learn a lot then.

Just watched All In, Episode 1. What I took away from it is that these kids all have a chip on their shoulder and don't want to just compete, they want to win. They are hungry. They want to prove something. Watch out Wake.

Swain might find himself climbing draft boards.

He has been flying all over the court all season, especially on the boards. He is the X factor for this team.

If he can develop a consistent outside shot, he will become a superstar

Norlander (eye of cbb podcast) said after watching Michigan and wake- both look top 20 capable.

Swain has been a nice surprise. His comfort with the ball and him using his length to smother defenders, and make deflections is wonderful. Rebounding for thi year's team is essential.

He's already projected to be a first rounder

Have not seen any mention of the 1-3-1 zone that X put in for a possession. Do you suppose that was put in there just to show it and force WF to send time prepping for it? Or do,you think that we might see it some this year? Swain out in front and Hunter along the baseline could be a lethal combination and a zone could be a good change up from time to time.

I imagine we will see it from time to time. With Swain out top I think it can be pretty effective.

Tu Holloway was in front of me at the game yesterday and I had no idea until I was literally talking about him to my buddy and he turned around to talk to me because he heard me bring him up. He was kind of incognito with a hat and glasses.
