Followed by a 3-0 win over Michigan yesterday.

From what I gather, rankings come out on Wednesdays, but they are just for games thru the previous Sunday. It's very odd, but I believe that is what is happening. Anyway, rankings will come out tomorrow ahead of the game Thursday but the site will say "updated September 8th"

Georgetown fell at DePaul - hence Xavier now with a 3-point lead over Georgetown in the standings. Assuming both teams win out, either a tie or win at Georgetown in the regular season finale would clinch the Big East #1 seed for the women.

Also wondering if this will be the first season Xavier at least clinches a Top-16 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament, meaning they would host at least the first two rounds of the NCAA Tournament at home.

Women win again last night 3-0 against the Johnnies. Now 13-1-2 on the season with 3 conference games left.

They're also #20 in the soccer RPI; the NCAA Selection Committee also released their current Top 16. Xavier's not in there yet, although I think they could crack that with at least one win against the Hoyas.

Dropped their last game at home 2-1 to a bad Providence team...two more reg. season games @ Marquette and then the very important one @georgetown which should be for the BE title.

Xavier beats DePaul to advance to the Big East championship; they'll take on UConn Sunday morning at 11 AM. UConn upset Georgetown in the other semifinal.
