Anyone going to TBT game tonight?
Will be my first time in that dump in Clifton since 2003 when David West made Jason Maxiel cry.
Stinks it’s not at Cintas again but excited to see some of our old Xavier favs and some of the new additions to the team.

The nostalgia was cool the first time, but now I don’t really care. If we put a decent team together at some point, that’d be cool. However, they haven’t had good inside guys the entire time they have done this.

Maybe we should stop doing this until we can put a decent team together

16 point loss, and 2 hours I will never get back.

Not good.
It's time to sunset the team honestly. They gave it a run, and it just didn't work out. It might be ok with some recent grades/players coming into the pipeline, but we're coming off of our worst 5 years in 40 years under Steele, so not sure they can replenish with quality X players.
Year one was really cool, year 2 took a step back, and year 3 was bad. The ticket prices are also absurd for the quality of basketball. It's literally a pick-up game for 80% of the teams.
It was fun while it lasted. Turn the page.

Agreed that it needs to end unless they can put a good team together. That roster was pretty pathetic outside of bluiett.

Neither the UC nor the XU teams even won their first game - good luck getting fans to attend the next 2 rounds.

Yeah it is also back yard street ball which isn't particularly fun to wath imo. Unless your team is winning then it kind of makes up for it. Plus I didn't care for all the non-Xavier players on the team. Also don't care for the other teams not having Alums on their team as well.
I've gone to the TBT every year that Xavier has played and do not plan on going back.

This was ugly. It would really help if they bothered to practice before these events. TBT charged $45 per seat and we saw something about as useful as a JV match.

Karem Kanter is still playing for La Familia. Not sure why he wasn't on Zip Em Up. I think he is doing pretty well.
