Paul says the plan is to get similar competition for all the other home games but one (hoping to bring in a high major quality team). Season ticket holder and I love getting to games regardless. And with roster turnover seemingly to be an every year thing I get the need to use some games to gel, etc.. watching blowouts can be fun but it doesn’t best the excitement of a big game. Potentially not having one until the BE starts would be a shame.

As it is right now, with three buy games remaining to be scheduled, here is where the 2024-2025 Non-Conference stands:

Home:

- Wake Forest (Skip Prosser Classic)

- IUPUI

Neutral:

- Two games in Ft. Myers Tip-Off, November 25th and 27th (Michigan, Virginia Tech, South Carolina)

Road:

- Crosstown Shootout @ Cincinnati

Coincidentally, the new downtown baseball field here in Spartanburg, which will open next year, is Fifth Third Park.
The bank is expanding into the South, and has one small branch here in the city. They decided to invest in the city with naming rights.
We'll have minor league baseball back in the city next year...the Hub City Spartanburgers. (not sure about this name at all.)

I think the wake game is going to be good early litmus test along with the ft myers tourney of course. The acc isn’t great but I’ve seen wake ranked in the top 4 or so in early predictions

Yeah I heard UC vs Baylor and Kansas are on + as well. Obviously we got to get use to Peacock over the next several years, but at least they have family options. My personal opinions on ESPN are at an all time low. No need to go further than that.

Well it's the last year that UC's schedule will be so ESPN heavy. Their new contract starts next season and will be a mix of FS1, ESPN, and CBSSN.

If UC starts winning more the ESPN+ goes away. But for them right now, Big 12 has only so many games slated for the main networks and other B12 teams are currently better for ratings. Even if the crosstown would do well, it might go over number of games the contract states.

Personally, I don't pay for ESPN anymore, so getting ESPN+ is way cheaper and I like getting the UC stuff there. I can watch it whenever I want, which isn't always possible with a game on ESPN 1 and 2, and almost never with a game on ESPN U.

I have a friend who shares their cable login for FS1, and I can watch XU there.
