Did I miss a big announcement?? Xavier Mens Basketball Instagram account has a picture of Jerome practicing, and "welcome back Jerome!"

From my insider:
“Cleared to return. I am not 100% sure he will play. However, he has been medically cleared too, should he decide to make it happen.”

Which means UC fans are convinced he'll be in game shape in time for Saturday.

On a personal level, great news for Hunter!

On a team level, also good news as he did a good job last year in a “glue guy” role and I think this team can use him (needs him).

From a rotation point of view, I have no idea how to deal with this. We already we running a 9 man rotation. Does Jerome just come in and steal a few minutes from everyone? Or does someone get squeezed out? Lazar seems to be the guy most likely to get squeezed. Hard to see us putting Dailyn on the bench after he’s shown a lot of promise and flashes….

Great news for the young man on a health level! If he plays this year, that’s awesome! but if he chooses not to that’s cool too. Just glad to hear he’s going to be fine and has the choice available.

I’m super happy for him. This is a huge milestone. Enquirer is saying that it is in a limited capacity at this time, but considering what he’s been through it’s worth celebrating anyway. Awesome!

This is great news for Jerome as a person. It shows his life is returning to something approaching normal. That’s got to be a big relief for him!

Great to hear! Agree that while it would be amazing to have him playing again soon, it’s just good to know he is doing well.

Absolutely! Whatever he does on the court this season is gravy. I’m thrilled he’s better and know he can add a lot when coached properly. This is great news!

Broney James made his return today, 5 months after dealing with cardiac arrest. I only point this out to remind everyone that it’s been almost exactly 5 months since Jerome suffered his episode. We’ve no way of knowing how the two incidents are similar or different, but it does give me hope Jerome might possibly play again in the future, perhaps even this year. Wishing him the best!

Man. If he was committed to playing here next year, I’d rather he just get a medical redshirt and sit this season out.

I believe Miller has said that is the plan. He has time to be ready and 100% start of next season.

If that’s the case, we’re gonna need to land another sharp shooting Olivari type of “sharp shooter” to compliment his inside skills.

I don’t think any of us are convinced we have enough shooters once Quincy is gone next season. Heck, we don’t have enough shooters this season even with him on the roster.

Free and Rome seem to be engaged even with not being able to play. Both are on the bench for most if not every game.

I think that probably says something about their desire to play another year.
