How do they choose matchups for holiday tournaments?

X is playing the late game tomorrow while all the other teams are West Coast teams. How did Xavier draw Washington and why did they get the late game?

Think the first game is the bigger matchup. That’s probably the only reason. I bet if they knew Xavier wouldn’t be a typical Xavier team, the bracket would be different.

I remember Sean saying he doesn’t like the three-game tournaments, so they’re only going to play in those with two going forward. I suppose this was the best they could get? Matchups and time slot seem dumb. Oh well, I guess.
