Predictions: regular season record and tourney

So what do you think the season record will be this year and what about the post season tourney?

I’ll go 20-11 in the regular season. 12-8 in the Big East. Another sweet 16 in the tourney.

19-12 BE 11-9 advance to 2nd round probably a 10 or 11 seed

I have no idea what to expect, but I can't wait for the season to get going.

Optimistically, we had our two injuries to Hunter and Freemantle in the summer and we stay healthy the rest of the way.

If that happens, I think we can get to about 19 wins which would be awesome. 19-12, 11-9 and round of 32 in the tournament.

Back to the real world:

I'm going 18 - 12 due to some early struggles while the team starts putting all the pieces together.
Similar struggle at the start of the more challenging Big East 11-9, coming on strong into the BE losing in the finals.
Late season surge enough to squeak into the tournament and an elite 8.

I hope it is closer to FAN82's prognostication.

22-9, 7 seed. Lose second round. I think with such high quality in big East, IF we are a tournament team our seed will be better than a typical record would indicate.

Low, like really low expectations, like Sean Miller's first season low expectations. Just too many new faces, too many freshmen, too many tough opponents. A replenished roster is one thing, but against this brutal schedule is asking too much. Our main returning guy specialized in fucked up shots and fouling last year. Don't hang too much on that.

That being said, we have Sean Miller, which has to count for something. If anyone can duct tape together and hot wire a successful season, I trust in Coach Miller to do it. I expect very little this season, but will be pleasantly surprised if it evolves into a tournament appearance. Like Sean's early seasons, I am just looking for a Stanley Burrell or Justin Cage to emerge out of this crucible as the foundation for upcoming seasons.

18-13 / 10-10 Big East / As bubbly as bubbly can be, but lack of quality wins means Not Invited. A couple upsets of the many highly ranked teams Xavier faces would sneak them into the Tournament, but not counting on it. On the bright side, this means a much less stressful season and enjoying watching our players develop for successful campaigns to come.
