As they should be!

Now we just need to retire #5.

Miller said in the announcement that they were the first 1st ballot HOF'ers since Brian Grant. So David West being inducted after 7 years instead of 5 had to be a scheduling issue, right? I mean he had his freaking jersey retired on senior night, lol.

I thought that was odd too. West's jersey was retired on senior night. Maybe administrators simply did not want to have West in HOF on first ballot.

Why would admin. not want him in on 1st ballot?

Any delay with West or others were scheduling issues.

So which others do you think may have been scheduling issues?

Other guys that one could argue would be 1st ballot worthy in basketball who obviously were not would be:

Tu Holloway (took 6 years, so 2nd ballot)
Romain Sato (took 11 years, which would think not a scheduling issue, but maybe overseas career got in way?)
Lenny Brown (although it says he was inducted in 2004 and he was class of '99 so how is that not 1st ballot?)
James Posey (took 9 years, so likely not a scheduling issue?)

On a side note, why the hell did it take 19 years to elect Darnell Williams? That seems way too long.

Do you possess a file with past X seasons and notes? Those You would make a good reference for Tom Eiser.

No, the above information I got straight from the XU website, the HOF section.

So I tweeted at Tom Eisner and Mario asking about Lenny Brown. As it is listed on the XU HOF page he was inducted 5 years after graduation. That would be 1st ballot, meaning he was the most recent 1st ballot, not Brian Grant. Mario responded to my tweet that him and Tom would look into that Monday.
