There are a number of well known universities on that list. Seems like the focus is on graduation rates, and tuition vs. average salary 10 years after graduation. Anyone know those numbers for X? I don’t remember X ever contacting me about my salary.
I wonder how many of those schools graduate a lot of teachers, who don’t earn much fresh out of school.

Kenyon College, Ohio Wesleyan, Wooster and Dennison also make the list. Ouch.

If you look at the reasons given for why these schools are on the list, they are often completely bogus. Frankly lists like these are not worth the paper they're printed on.

I got seasick after reading about 5 clickbait entries in that link (which looks like it was written by a 16-year-old). I'll take your word for it that Marquette and UC wound up in the list for whatever reason.

The criteria cited included:
1. Cost:Benefit - cost to go to a particular school versus what kind of salaries were being made 10 years down the road with those degrees in hand.
2. Crime in the area.
3. Freedom of speech on campus.
Not exactly bad criteria to base scoring on, but data used and the scoring methodology probably could use some scrutiny for anyone who really cared.
I'm sure administrators at Vassar just love that Vassar made the list.

What if the school itself was the criminal enterprise? I see Trump University made the list.

That only makes sense if you do it for specific occupations. Otherwise, it's meaningless.

What if the “school” (a real estate series of courses) closed in 2010 ( which means it should not be on any current list within 13 years) and the only “criminality” was this:
“ In October 2014, a New York judge found Trump personally liable for operating the company without the required business license.”
And:
Trump’s Las Vegas Business partner Phil Ruffin paid $25 million to settle two California lawsuits in 2018. Not Trump.
There have been no “crime” convictions over Trump University. Trump himself never acknowledged wrongdoing.
These are the facts.
Trump lives rent free in Paul’s head.

I wonder if it's a "crime" to operate a company without the required business license?
Maybe not. It might cause you to settle for millions, but that's OK if you can get some sucker to pay it for you.

Pay attention. Different cases.
I hope your daughters never operated a Lemonade Stand without a required business license. Oh, the horror!!!
The “sucker” was the Trump business partner who actually came up with and funded the Real Estate course idea with $28 million.
It failed. That’s why he paid.

I always say that I went away to college at the age of 18 and never left. I've spent my entire career working at colleges.
They are all overrated. All of them. As far as a community experience and an experience in self growth, it can be an invaluable part of your life. But as far as learning anything...most of what you learn in college is how to perform and complete tedious activities. I've met many people with Ivy League degrees that I thought were idiots. I've met many dropouts and/or people that never went to college that I thought were incredibly intelligent.
Consider going to college abroad. It's cheaper, you'll have a very different but still very valuable experience in community and self growth, and the chances of you actually learning something are exponentially higher.
