Heading up for my first BEAST tournament. Looks like pre game is at the KEG room and I was also wondering about tickets. Is it best to buy right after the first session of day two is over or buy from scalpers? Right now if you include fees, I’m looking at $175 ea for Thursday night session. The whole damn tournament can be had for $520. So what have those who have gone before done as far as tickets are concerned.

I haven't been in 3 years but I usually use vivid seats or seat geek. You can find scalpers on the corner though. Not sure if the laws have changed but I think it used to be they could sell at face value (none of them did of course). I just remember some dude wanting $100 for upper level so I just did vivid seats and got a way better seat for half that. All that said - if Nova or SH lose there will be plenty of tickets available.

Ha! I really enjoyed this place (https://www.bravopizzany.com/Location.tpl?cart=167822479620714436)last year. It's about a block from the Garden, so nice and convenient.
We tried a couple of others near MSG too, but Bravo was my favorite.
Others: NY Pizza Suprema (31st and 8th) - decent but wasn't as good as Bravo. DON'T DO THE 99 CENT PIZZA!

Very good, but doesn't compare well to the top pizza joints in Scranton.

We went to Joe pizza in NYC and it was avg at best x I’m starting to think all of NYC pizza is greasy garbage. Of course you’re going to love whatever you grow up on. Skyline is awful I’m sure but it’s what I grew up on. I think Portnoy said to go to John’s of Bleeker Street?

My son and I are headed up from Cincy. I think I saw this on another thread but can't find it....what is best way to get from Newark airport to Times Square area? Appears there are plenty of trains but not sure which route.

Not sure what terminal you are flying into but there is an Airtrain that takes to to the NJ Transit station by the airport. There is a NJ Transit ticket terminal on the ground floor of Newark Airport in Terminal C where you can buy tickets for the train directly into Penn Station under Madison Square Garden. (There is also a “Penn Station” in Newark so don’t be confused).
Once you get into Penn Station you can connect to the Number 1 red line LOCAL (not express) Subway train to the Times Square station- about a two minute ride-or just take a stroll through Manhattan.

Download the moovit app. It will make your life easier in NYC. It did for me anyway. Newark airport could be the shittiest airport next to Kabul international on the day America left. https://apps.apple.com/us/app/moovit-all-transit-options/id498477945

When were you there last? Newark the area is crappy , but I think the airport is fine. Kind of old but to get to and from Manhattan, especially MSG, it is the easiest and cheapest route.

Yes, this is the easiest and fastest way. Again note that there is a NEWARK Penn Station - do not get off. Stay on until they tell you to get off (NEW YORK Penn Station). Also - you can take the subway as mentioned above. Times Sq is also walkable from Penn St. - @ 15 blocks (short blocks) - prob 10 - 15 min walk.
