It certainly didn’t take them long after the end of this regular season to get the renewal for next year’s season tickets out. One thing that will apparently be different is that the parking passes will be digital like the tickets have been. Somehow, I think that will really slow down getting into the various lots since each car will need to stop to have the pass scanned. More importantly, what happens to the free cheese coney coupons we get on the paper parking passes!?!?!

Well that's not good for my strategy of using the same pass from my dad all season long to get access to the lot seeing as they only look at the lot # and not the actual game it is for. Damn.....

Digital parking passes seems like a terrible idea — either gonna take forever scanning them, or a screen cap will be able to get everyone into the lot on one pass.

I still hammered the renew button.

So you’re saying it’s your fault! [emoji1787]

I'm going to apologize in advance for the traffic jam that my dad is going to cause. No bueno on this one...

You're not the only one "sharing" the parking pass.

This is going to be a huge cluster due to the age of a lot of fans. I sure hope if they do this they just go to one checkpoint if you come in the back way. Why not just have one pass that you can use all season instead of individual ones for each game.

Cintas Center is already cashless; it seemed inevitable that they're taking steps to cashless parking as well. I don't see too many serious issues arising from this that already haven't come up with scannable tickets.

I for one hate scannable tickets. Yes, I'm old. A. I'm afraid I'll delete them from my phone, B. many places, had really cool tickets that people saved and collected. ND used to have really cool tickets. Final Fours and Super Bowls had cool tickets. Plus I can see scalpers having a field day with electronic tickets. The Indy 500 still has very elaborate physical tickets. I don't know if the Derby does or not. I actually have a ticket from Xavier's last home football game. I think one parking pass for the whole season would be a better choice.

I think digital tix are a pain in the ass. Sure, I know why they do it, but it’s still a pain in the ass. I was at a game where I had to go thru THREE different tech “specialists” to get my tickets to work. Apparently, my location settings were not allowing Mercedes Benz Stadium to track my location. And I am old as well. But why should I have to be able to do it if THEY can’t do it? And then I have to go back and change it because…..that location tracking is creepy, not that I have anything to hide.

Pretty soon, we'll have digital players.

The learning curve was the worst part to going cashless this season. I am still not convinced the beer lines have it completely figured out yet.

The lots with parking passes aren't pay lots, so they would only be removing the paper parking pass.

Right now lot attendants simply see the parking pass, and waive you through. There is very little interaction. If they now have to stick their scanner in the car of everyone who parks there, it will certainly take longer to get into the parking lots. I foresee a nightmare next season as everyone gets used to this process.

What an absolute pain in the ass.

The amount of time to process a sale with a chip card vs tap pay in the beer line caused me to request a new credit card with tap so I could avoid being the jerk slowing down the line.

Weird, I thought any card with a chip has the tap ability. At least mine do.

I thought the B/C4 lot also had a cash option where you could pay $20 to get in. Then again, about 99% of the cars I saw there all had the hard copies of the parking passes.

I think it’s the lot between B/C4 and Montgomery Rd that’s the pay lot.
