Unbelievable. I’m laughing so hard, which is cathartic after watching that train wreck of a second half.

I actually kind of respect the strategy. I still think UC should’ve tried to draw a foul instead (flop). As good as Cornette was all game, the crew did a poor job of explaining (I thought graphic was wrong with timeouts left then).

You’re probably right. It likely wasn’t the boneheaded decision one might think. It was going to be a desperation three regardless, so why not try to set up the shot rather than a rebound-heave? Still, I couldn’t help but laugh.

W Miller was betting the spread? X covered by 0.5?

However, Weber’s is probably the biggest boneheaded play on the biggest stage

Line ended at -3.5 so x didn’t cover this one.

No doubt, no doubt.

Doesn’t a technical foul give the opposing team two foul shots and the ball?

Doesn’t matter where it ended, it matters when the bet was made.

I know it used to. I don't think it does anymore.

Agreed. I already referenced that blunder, and it was the first thing I thought of! And I laughed…..

I think possession (after the foul shots) goes to the team who had possession when the technical was called. Not sure.

Why? He did it on purpose and was a pretty brilliant move.

He probably did it on purpose but still great.

This 100% shows the need for a rule change here in this instance.

Because it reminded me of the most boneheaded play in college basketball history.

Yet this one was the opposite of that.

Um, yeah, I readily acknowledged that above.

I think if Boum misses one of the free throws and Nunge doesn't hit the inbounds pass and they get a decent 3 point shot off, things look very different. Really, a good thought from that other Miller.

Not sue about a decent shot with .7 seconds. That is a volleyball like movement. You can't really catch and set for a release but it was better than their other option.
We had that situation and Mack had the inbound guy throw it the entire court and hit the backboard. PErfect execution but last name Phil something could not cleanly put it back.
