What was interesting about the Ohio State game at the Gardens back in 1984 was that apparently Channel 19 did the games for Xavier back then; I'm not sure when Channel 9 (then the CBS affiliate) acquired the rights to Xavier.

But whoever uploaded the game actually got the feed from Channel 6 (ABC) in Columbus (then WTVN-TV), so we end up hearing the Buckeye perspective.

You'll also find the Loyola Marymount game from the 1989-90 season; the feed was from ESPN's coverage of the game. Yet back then Channel 9 did cover the game locally.

These guys are clearly gentlemen and scholars for uploading all the games that they have. Can't wait to see if anything else gets uploaded in the near future.

We have games from all sorts of crazy networks-some that have morphed into others. DH lives near Columbus and he got the Xavier Ohio State game from 1984.
The Loyola Marymount game was actually on “SportsChannel Ohio” not ESPN. Many other of the older games were also on SportsChannel, especially any MCC games and of course there was the Atlantic 10 network. Us out of Cincinnatians relied on the precursors to Fox SportsNet and sometimes even picking up games from SNY (SportsNewYork) , MASN, or New England Sports Network to get Xavier games off of Cable. I even have a game vs Oral Roberts from 1987 from a channel named “Tempo TV”. I think it was Oral Roberts affiliated.
We apologize a bit for the quality of some of the games from VHS but that was the technology and many of those were taped before HD was even a thing. We’ve been trying to preserve and transfer as many games as we can to DVD & digital over the years as tape degrades over time and we are now almost 4 decades old on some of these games.
Hope y’all can enjoy them nonetheless.

I remember listening to Joe and Andy Mac for the broadcast of the Akron 3 OT game. I don't believe there was any TV broadcast. Maybe I am wrong.

I was at that game at The JAR. Jamal Ball WENT OFF for the Zips! What a game that would never seem to end!!
It was a snowy night in NE Ohio and I know the game wasn’t on TV up here. Was hoping that it might have been telecast in Cincinnati on Channel 19 or 9.
