Xavier has 11 OOC games. I'm going with 9-2 record. What do you got?

9-2 sounds right to me. Lose either 1 or 2 at the Phil Knight and/or indiana

I would be pleasantly shocked at anything better than 9-2.
I could see 9-2 happen.
I feel 8-3 is most likely.

Oh ye of little faith. Let's just go 11-0 and piss everybody off.

8-3, 7-4. Somewhere in there. After the first few cupcakes, things get pretty serious in a hurry.

It's probably wishful thinking at 9-2. If some of the tougher games were later rather than sooner, it might give Miller a bit more time to put it all together. On the flip side - getting to some real competition might provide a better picture of what it's going to take to be successful in the long run. i.e. Big East. Peak at the right time instead of fade at the end.

7-4. Keeping expectations low with the coaching change. A couple losses in the Phil Knight tournament and a couple losses out of Indiana, West Virginia and Cincinnati. I do not see an upset from a buy game, but crazy things happen.
Better than that and I will be very happy and optimistic for the rest of the season.

I think the highest probability is 8-3. Not to be negative in anyway, but think the chances of going 9-2 are better if we lose to Florida in PK opener. Oregon St. would be the likely game 2 and very winnable, then game 1 of the double header with Hugs. If the Gators are a W, it's Dook and Boilers IMO. If we cross paths with the Zags...good. Portland St...bad.
Winning 2 of 3 in the other marquee OOCs are very doable.

Everyone is wrong. Xavier will be playing 17 out of conference games this season.

I'm with the others pointing to an 8-3 mark in non-con.

Not feeling confident, but I'm pretty certain SELA, Southern U, Cincinnati will be wins. Looking like 6-5.

After watching Florida last week and Duke last night, I have those as wins now. 9-2. Think this week they beat Florida and Duke and lose to Gonzaga. Indiana I think is much better right now than Florida and Duke. Florida is basically the same team Xavier beat like 7 months ago.

Florida is one opportunity that X really needs to build some momentum. I have no idea of how you came to your conclusion about Duke. Because the bums lost a close one to the defending National Champs? Can you post a brief explanation plz?

No excuse to lose to Florida, but would not be surprised to see the team go 1-2 in this tourney and I don’t think it’s awful if they do. The field is that stacked. They shouldn’t lose another ooc game after this tourney.

Just watching them play Bellarmine last night. They just didn’t impress me. Also I know Kansas is the defending National champs, but they struggled with Southern Utah for a long time the other day, ended up winning by 6.

I think 1-2 is the most likely outcome if they win the first. 2-1 if they lose the first.

I’m not sure Indiana will be that great. Very good. Top 5 big 10. I don’t think the philosophy is a recipe for major continued success though. They really don’t like to shoot the 3. And when they do they aren’t very good at it. Still think they will be around 15-20 throughout season though

They’ve already lost to fau and barely beat a really bad fsu team. They are essentially the exact same team as last year when x beat them with Hayes as the coach. No excuse

Past performance is no guarantee of future success. That was last year. If X comes out with the attitude that Florida isn’t very good, and that they already beat them once before, then X will most likely lose. I’ve faith that Miller isn’t going to let that happen. You’d think that the X players would have learned that lesson after loses to DePaul and Butler, but nothing is for certain. I agree that there is no excuse for them losing to Florida, but it’s no lock.

Ok, I didn't see it. They won by 27, 14 3's at 40%, 10-11 from the line, 18 assists on 25 made FGs.

It was 17, not 27. 75-57, and an 8 point game at the half. Stayed around 10 to 12 most of 2nd half. Just didn’t see them as world beaters. Skinny dudes. Young team who will be better late in the year. Xavier can beat them.

No doubt we can beat them regardless of where they are. Gotta get a chance first, then let your scouting report be spot on!

Xavier is 7-3 going into the Southern game. I had them going 9-2 which is only a Southern win and a layup away against Indiana. Honestly, for as tough as the OOC schedule has been, the toughest in recent memory and very likely the toughest of all time, their record is pretty impressive. No bad losses and only losing to top 15 teams. This team has definitely been tested going into Conference play.

I’m not sure I’d call it pretty impressive. They really didn’t win a game they weren’t suppose to or lose a game they weren’t suppose to. I thought they would beat Indiana at home. They showed they can hang with some pretty good teams though. Just with the big East being down and Creighton falling off the map it will result in middle of the road numbers by year end. Not a huge deal- they will make the tournament but seeding will be tough.
I expect creighton to turn it around but right now it’s UConn and everyone else. With X and Creighton finishing 2/3.

Maybe "pretty impressive" is overstating it a bit. Perhaps not, in comparison to the tin years. Encouraging certainly.
