Don’t tell me Miller is afraid to do the post game next to Joe and Byron? Why did he have to call in?

At least he didn't send the assistant ala Tin Man.

I think Joe and Byron don't sit courtside. This change started last season. Steele and now Miller call in.

It is a logistics nightmare to walk him back up the stands to their new radio booth.

Pretty sure this started when the new seat configuration started a few years ago. So been longer than 2 years. Steele used to walk up, not sure if he did at all last year or he always called in last year?
Wouldn't blame any of the coaches for choosing to call in rather than walk up though.

Well your guys answers are not satisfactory to my buddies. They said no way he wouldn’t walk up 20 stairs. Pretty sure it’s more then 20 stairs but seriously why wouldn’t he just walk up?

Have you seen the way he sweats? Walking stairs is a bad idea!

I don't know how quickly he needs to be on after the game and if he goes to locker room to address team first or after? I am sure he needs to be prepped on some stats before going on? I would guess its more of a timing issue than a not wanting to take the steps issue. Wouldn't be surprised if he always calls in if he already decided to do that the first game.

He's in the locker room postgame. First priority is to address the team, and last night, he had to do a postgame with the Fox crew courtside.
Calling in is NOT an issue. If you want one on one face contact listen to the Sean Miller Show tonight from Dilly Bistro at 7.

Your buddies have nothing better to worry about?
It isn't the exercise preventing Miller from getting up to the booth, it is logistics. Think about other broadcasts with post game interviews...do you know of any coach in any sport, in any arena, that walks up to the booth to be interviewed? For Reds and Bengals games, the broadcasters will walk down to the lockeroom for comments and interviews.

I suggest they follow the NFL and college football example.
Have one of those lady sideline reporters on the floor to interview Sean post-game.

It is all logistics. There are two ways up to Joe and Byron, either walk up the aisle to their booth or take the elevator in the back up to the concourse and walk through the concourse to them. Either way, it is close enough to the end of the game that there are still plenty of fans lingering around for traffic to die down. So he can either has through the fans glad handing everyone, or he can just call in from the locker room and avoid the additional annoyance. (Maybe not so bad after a big win, but I cannot imagine is fun on a close or frustrating loss). Seems like an easy choice.
