I haven't seen the movie yet, but I did hear that one of the teams they played that year was Xavier. Coincidentally, that was the last year of football at X. (I believe)

I've got that movie sitting on my DVR. It's been showing on HBO. I still haven't seen it yet. I've heard they mispronounce Xavier in that movie as well...

I'm not surprised, I had a coach with a first name of Xavier, and I butchered it. Easier just to say X.

Haven't seen the movie, but yeah I heard they beat us in the movie.

One of the only teams that they were able to beat.

I saw about five minutes of it on HBO. They portray a young Bobby Bowden back in his WVU days. That made me chuckle when I thought of Terry Bowden begging for that gig and not getting it.
