I see his weight listed anywhere from 220lbs to 235lbs. We need some big bodies who can bang in the BE, even if (maybe?) he needs to refine his game. I trust Miller & Co to judge his potential, then actually develop him. .

Yeah even 247 lists in one spot 210, and 220 in another. He's a slender guy, but somewhat more cut than a lot of high school guys. I'd imagine he'll take a year or two to really build up that bulk, but all signs thus far are positive. Whether he becomes a starter is unclear. I'm just happy the coaches are bringing in some taller guys and looking to develop someone.

Very excited to see Kachi join eggsaver! I kid. He’ll get it soon. Just really happy we finally landed an athletic big.
Just wish there was more videos of his play to watch. Knew not to worry with Sean at the helm.

Agree. I scrolled down to see more videos. Still not a tremendous amount of footage, but from what there is to view he does look fast and athletic. It also appears he loves playing above the rim and is a capable shot blocker. He may prove to be a very good defender in the paint at X. Something X badly needed with Nunge likely moving on after this year.

I really like this kid. Has only been playing organized ball for two years which may explain the relatively low exposure. I think Miller was not the only one who recognized his potential as he had offers from Iowa, Illinois, Maryland, Miami, Creighton and Seton Hall among others.

Xavier had another kid who had only played a few years of high school ball before coming to X. It was either Grant or Hill and I would take either of those types of players.

By “a good big man” do you mean “another good big man” or “an international big man Miller knows will be BE ready from day one” or “a player closer to 7 feet tall who will primarily play the 5.”

Personally, I would love to see X pick up one more big who fits any of those descriptions.

I am very excited about Kachi’s commitment, though. Just from the limited available videos, I can already understand why Sean likes him and sees tremendous upside to his game. He moves quickly, seems to defend well and likes to play above the rim. To me he already seems a bit more ready than players like Farr or Love were when they forst got to X… and I think we all loved the finished product they both turned out to be.
