Looks about right for a team that (once again) doesn't return many contributors from last season. Last year's two leading scorers now play for Seton Hall (https://shupirates.com/sports/womens-basketball/roster/kae-satterfield/5619) and Marquette (https://gomarquette.com/sports/womens-basketball/roster/nia-clark/7118), and last year's fourth-leading scorer, the Big East Scholar Athlete of the Year, now plays for Duquesne (https://goduquesne.com/sports/womens-basketball/roster/ayanna-townsend/11370).

Going to be a young team again, but maybe this is the year things start to come together.

The turnover on this team has been an issue for years now. You can't rebuild every year and be competitive.

Big East preseason coaches' poll

1. UConn (10) 100
2. Creighton 89
3. Villanova (1) 83
T-4. DePaul 68
T-4. Seton Hall 68
6. Marquette 56
7. St. John's 47
8. Providence 34
T-9. Butler 21
T-9. Georgetown 21
11. Xavier 18

It's notable that Butler, which went 1-27 overall and 0-18 in league play last year, is picked ahead of Xavier.

From the release:
Xavier went 9-21 overall and 4-16 in BIG EAST play in 2021-22. The Musketeers return two starters from that team, including their assists and steals leader in Shaila Beeler, and No. 3 scorer Aanya Harris. XU adds a number of new faces, including Ole Miss transfer Taylor Smith and Kent State product Nila Blackford. Mel Moore is entering her fourth season as head coach of the Musketeers.

Picked Dead last again! Program has never been right since Brian Neal was allowed to screw it up.
Thomas More will be next on Neal’s path of destruction. Greg Christopher has proven to be unfit to hire someone to champion the women’s basketball program. Time for a turnover in the AD position! Bye Bye Greg!

Here's an idea, before calling for GC's head because of the women's basketball hires, look at who he's hired for all of the other Olympic teams.

You mean the ones that are a revenue drain on the university? It’s nice those are doing well, and happy for the athletes for sure, but the two money makers are men and women’s (if done correctly) bb and his resume is suspect at best. Miller fell into his lap, good on I guess finally firing Steele.

I guess he doesn't get credit for hiring Mack? And by this rational, if all the Olympic hires were duds, it would be ok?

No I’m saying the Olympic hires don’t matter to revenue and attendance, which is true. Why would he get credit for hiring Mack? Mack was here way before him
