Competing with Syracuse and Penn State huh? You gotta think Boeheim is done in a year, two tops maybe, and Penn State is pretty "meh" in basketball, and with Miller at the helm, I'm cool with going up against those two. Also, Brewster Academy, that's where Jalen Reynolds went right? Pretty sure Devontae Graham of the Hornets now Pelicans went there too, I don't think they're Oak Hill or Monteverde or anything like that but seems like a solid prep school competition wise. Haven't seen much of his game so gonna go watch highlights, I have no idea how people keep up with recruiting but I will say that I want him here haha.

My favorite quote from the article

“And having a coach who’s going to be honest with me, really tell me when I need to step up or when I’m not doing what I should do,” Ducharme said. “I don’t need to hear I’m the greatest all the time. That’s not what I want to hear.”

Rivals futurecast has him 100% X; as a shooting guard: as does 247 now

He went for over 40 multiple times in the EYBL and is actually pretty athletic. His sister plays for UCONN. I think he will be really good at the college level, and Sean is stockpiling guys who can knock down shots which is refreshing.

Loves the up and under scoop move for sure. Plays into contact. Seems to have a quick release and doesn't need to be really set all the time. Not afraid to step up to mid-range.
Seriously needs to work on his left hand. In this reel, hardly saw him go left at all - driving, crossing over or shooting.
Not much passing and no defense (not the essence of most highlight posts) but at 6'6" and some physio - looks like a good piece of clay for Miller to mold.

A sure sign of old age...when you think all the stuff about a recruit "narrowing his choices down to (insert number)" is just hype, and you'd rather they just made a pick without all the nonsense on social media.

Trey Green delivers:

“Trey Green knew I was a priority for them so he reached out to me so that definitely helped as well,” he said, “so I’ll definitely be doing the same [with other recruits].”

Glad to see these guys are pushing for other recruits!

Isn’t it fun to talk basketball? :-)

Welcome to the Xavier family, young man!

Not that I ever took anything for granted, but I don’t remember looking forward to Xavier basketball more than I do right now!

Awesome news. Now I assume they go get a big, and that will be that for '23 :)

Swain and then a big. Reid committing doesn’t affect Swain’s recruitment. Same position…completely different players.

I hope it’s a “rugged big” who will fit in well in the BE! Not some beanpole to get pushed around.

If he happens to be the next coming of Chet Holmgren, I can live with it.

I’ll be honest, all I really know about him is he is out for the year. Can we find someone else less……..jinxy? Maybe more “rugged”?

I mean, he was the #2 pick in the draft. If we have a guy get hurt in the pros I can live with it if his play at Xavier earns him the #2 spot in the draft!

No, I get that. I really do, it’s just the timing of the injury hit a nerve.
