I believe this one is new. Last year some of the guys played in a league in Columbus, can't remember the name off the top of my head

The old Worthington Summer League? I don't know what else it had been called since then.

I assumed it may be a replacement for the Deveroes Summer League. I believe they're playing games at Purcell.

Exciting maybe but we all remember Adrian Graves winning MVP one season and not getting much playing time under Mack.

Was he playing against high school sophomores? Honestly though, is the Smith league decent or basically every high school/college kid with a pulse?

It's a good question about how good the games are overall, but one thing is certain. To score 56 points you have to get the ball to go in the basket. Some players can't even do that with no defense on them.

No they didn’t. Relax. He isn’t cleared or ready to play.

Back in the day, the Deveroes league at Purcell Marian was legit. Pros and D1 studs played.

It is a shell of itself today and not really worth XU players getting hurt in.

Yep, the old Deveroes league used to be legit and was fun to watch. Not a comparable summer league in Cincinnati anymore. Hopefully the Smith league can get up there but we'll see.
