A good level for him to show his worth. Honestly he looked great at Hampton, got a couple of double figure games in short minutes against Creighton and Seton Hall and i thought he was on his way to split time with Carter until incidental contact at St Johns ended his season and effectively his career. A damn shame..not a world beater with his height but could have been a bucket getter when we were not getting many last year(2020-21). Wish him the best of luck and seemed like a good locker room guy and grateful for opportunities

Really the kind of player we could have used last year. Another misused talent? I hope he goes on to confirm that.

Anyone else noticed Ben was at the Reds’ game with Jones, Nunge and Freemantle. I thought he was ODU bound and once he announced he was transferring I imagined he would be gone by now.

Is the school year over yet? I would aasume the transfers need to hang in until the end of the semester.

Final exams were last week. Graduation is this Saturday.

Graduation from college was one of the sadder days of my life. To quote Rodney Dangerfield- "Stay in school kids. It's tough out there."

Most kids don't realize how special those college years are until they are behind them. As they say, youth is wasted on the young.

Someone posted on another thread "we could use him"......that's an understatement. Considering the current lack of frontcourt depth, Ben would be a key rotation guy.

ODU is a solid program in a respectable conference.

Probably another guy misused. Jason Carter needed minutes.

Stanley was injured the year he would have been playing alongside Carter.

OK. Hunter needed minutes.

I don't know - I just know Steele sucks.

Of this there is no doubt.

Ben has 20 p 10 re in a tough road loss to Davidson, no slouch (Steph Curry). Glad he is getting his shot at higher than Hampton (which is still D1)

Total points look impressive, but when you look a little closer you realize he is shooting 20% from 3 and 48% from the charity stripe.

Not sure too many X fans would be pleased with that kind of inefficiency. Still, he’s the type of player you want to wish nothing but the best.
