CINCINNATI --- The Xavier University Musketeers, 17-9 overall and 7-8 in the BIG EAST Conference, visit the No. 11 Providence College Friars, 22-3 overall and in first place in the BIG EAST at 12-2, on Wednesday night.

No. 11 Providence is the highest ranked team that Xavier has played since the 2019-20 season. XU won at then-No. 10 Seton Hall 74-62 on Feb. 1, 2020.

I think they are good, but not as good as UConn and nova though they have the better record. There is the ole you are what your record says you are, but they have had so many close games and been on the right side almost every single time.

Yep. If they were 4-0 to finish the season, a small run in big East tournament they will be a 4 seed. Which would give them what, tied for 5th best seed of all time? But a win tonight locks them in and playing for seed here on out.
