I just solved the problem. The browser I was using didn't support the process apparently. With a more current browser, it works.

If you are an active member of this community (post frequently and discuss sports/issues with other posters) at a bare minimum you should have a supporting membership.
It cost our Administrator "Muskie" some bucks to maintain this website...and obviously a LOT of time.

If the owner of this board wants to make it members only, totally fine with it. However, it is still a free board and people have the right to decide to use it or not. The private hate messages I have received from multiple people on here is sickening. An apology is more in order for harassing and sending hate messages.

Two people ask you to consider ponying up a whole $12.50 for a site you've come to for over 13 years and you consider it harassment. That's rich. The fact that you have the nerve to actually thank people for signing up - when you obviously have no intention to - makes people want to neg rep you.

You injected yourself into a situation that was not your business, then when you get asked to join you whine harassment. That's some twisted logic right there.

Thank You! A poster of this board for almost 15 years and some of you have the nerve to call me a troll. There was no reason for 94Grad to target me specifically to pay for the board. He should have left it with his original post and kept it generic. It is harassment when he targets me or any individual specifically multiple times over it. This is a free message board that allows you to post without being a member. If the owner of this board wants to make it a members only thing, good for him or her and I will 100% respect that. The fact though is that it is a free message board that I am not obligated to pay for. Maybe instead of 94Grad, Madxster, Chico getting all upset over someone not paying to participate in a free message board, maybe they could work with the owner to put advertising within this message board. It's a free board. Somehow there are a bunch of others who post here who have not voluntarily become supporting members and still avoid "harassment". There's some difference between those other posters and you. Perhaps you should reflect on what that difference is. Probably relates to their absence from this particular thread.

On another (free) message board I visit frequently there is a thread about the best advice you ever got. One post comes to mind here - “Just because you can, doesn’t mean you should”.

I can post here free, as I can there, but I also know what I should do as long as it’s not an unreasonable financial burden. Even at the other place, when expensive upgrades happen, I send money to defray the cost. It’s worth it to me. But, as you correctly point out, you have every right to do you.
