I love it.

The talent is there for us to make a run. Not sure the coaching is there however.

No shit. ‘A great chance’? That’s pretty damn lofty for the team that I have watched all season.

He then pulled open his shirt and sport coat to reveal he is actually Xuperman.

Is it? How can talent be there but not coaching, when they have zero NBA players and more zero and three star players as 4 star players in the top 9? I think people over value Xavier’s talent. Adam and Nate had zero stars. Jack, Zach and Dieonte three stars, Colby, Dwon, Jerome and Paul 4 stars. Zero 5 stars. All the guys have positive traits but also flaws that limit thier ceiling. I think the talent level coming in next year is a big jump and need to build around that. Need to add some strength and athleticism to that and the results will Continue to get better moving forward. This current team has no shot at a final 4 because they are missing pieces and traits that are needed.

I didn’t say they would make it to the final four. I “could” see them making a tournament run into the second weekend if we play our best basketball. I could also see us missing the tournament if we continue to play like we have been.

Talent is there...George Mason, Loyola Chicago, Butler without Hayward, and VCU have made the final four in modern history. The problem is that X doesn't have a coach right now to get them there. Hopefully this team will find a way to get to March, and Steele will grow into this job. This year? Donny Marshall is on crack.

I think that the talent is there for Xavier to make a Final 4 run. I also think that the 'talent is there' for about 1/2 of the tournament teams to make a Final 4 run. Kind of like the VCUs, George Masons, etc.

I think we as fans (and all fans really) tend to overrate the talent on our teams. We assign high ceilings to pretty much everybody often based on outlier performances, but don't give the same benefit of the doubt to opposing teams' players.

I do agree that Xavier has enough guys that can light up a scoreboard that we could make a deep run, but it would require sustained 'hot' performances from at least 3 of the key perimeter guys (Scruggs, Jones, Kunkel, Johnson)

If X can just bottle up there play in the 2nd half today, X will be very hard to beat.
