Without question the MVP last night was the student section. I have been a season ticket holder for 35 years and I can't recall a louder, more engaged, more entertaining student section. During the first half I found much more enjoyment watching the student section instead of the intramural game or whatever the hell that was being played on the floor. Please more Nunge less Miles. More ???? less Kunkel. I think players always return to what is listed on the back of their baseball cards which suggests that there are huge games ahead for Nate (5 of 6, 6 of 8 type games). I guess Hunter is an adequate placeholder until Free returns. Would really like to see what KyKy and Edwards can do.

I sit close to the student section and enjoy the shenanigans as much as the game (actually more during our first 1.5 games!). I agree their energy is amazing. They are also under close security scrutiny so their ability to “be creative” is limited.

Didn’t really stand out to me. Student section hit their peak with the popes. It use to be absolutely wild. I remember seeing handful come down and chant at opposing teams for their warm ups 90 min before the game (specifically remember that at the cross town). The energy has never been the same at the Cintas, but then again the energy typically matches the team.

I kind of disagree. I thought the energy from the students in the first two games has been great. Every seat is filled 30 minutes before game time and they've been loud.

I was there Friday and told my wife I'd never seen the student section that revved for a game against a "lesser" opponent. Hope they can keep it rolling. And would they be sent to a 'reflection session' if they started up a Let's Go Brandon chant?
