Thought Niagara was still coached by Patrick Beilein, but found that he's coach of some random TBL team in Syracuse, which shows me that Greg Paulus is the Niagara coach. A name I hadn't heard in forever, I remember him as Duke's point guard, on some "meh" Duke teams with Josh McRoberts, Gerald Henderson, etc. and also as a mediocre Syracuse's QB. Looks like it's his 3rd season now at the helm, just thought that was a fun fact.

Another fun fact, Greg Paulus and his older brother were enrolled to attend St. X my sophomore year there. They even were practicing with our football team in the summer. There was a lot of hype around Greg as a stud QB and basketball player. Marty Mooney was entrenched as the 3 year starting QB at that time though. I guess for business reasons their father had to cancel their move to Cincinnati? I don't know, it was all weird.

I just checked the FOX Sports App, and it doesn't show that the game is on TV at all. Alot of other games show ESPN+, or PACN, or some other obscure channels. But our game doesnt show any coverage.

Am I missing something? or looking in the wrong place?

Adam Baum says it's on the FS1 App. There is no such App as far as I can tell. It takes you to the same Fox Sports App I already have (and doesnt show our game).

I'm either dumb, or the game is not on. I'd prefer to be dumb in this case. HELP

Yes you can get to the C-3 lot by coming up the hill behind Cintas Center from Ledgewood.
When you get to the top of the hill you take the first left then park where ever you can. Those going to the C-2 lot go straight at the top of the hill. C-3 is the lot in front of Cohen Center.

It hasn’t been an encouraging start. It seems like they are running the UK offense without UK talent.

I listened to the post-game on the ride home from Cintas. Before Trav came on Byron was stating what everyone here has been shouting from the rooftops. You need a post presence on the offensive end to get rhythm in your offensive flow. Even if it's not to score from the post, you have to use the whole floor or teams will push you to your weakness, which is settling for 3s and individual play. He's exactly right.

The very first thing Trav said was that we need to get the ball in the paint and we can't settle for just taking a bunch of 3s. Sure, we all agree. But did anyone see any adjustment when it was obvious the team fell into that spell in the second half? Our offense is literally high pick and roll, and then 1:1. Against a zone, we are extra screwed, because it's 5 passes around the perimeter and a 3.

He needs to figure out the offensive scheme, and quickly. At this point, I simply don't believe him when he says he has a plan on offense, because they rarely show a consistent offensive flow. From what I saw tonight, we are probably a bubble team. I'm hoping with everything in me it was just a bad game.

And to Nunge - CATCH THE BALL!!!!!

Would love to know the answers to 1 and 2. Travis only played 8 guys last night in a game that shouldn’t have been close. To all of the Kunkel lovers out there, why does he play? His shot is awful. You can’t shoot a knuckleball at a high percentage. In 2 of his 3 seasons he has shot under 28% from 3. I’d rather see Tandy when healthy with worse defense but shoot 36% from 3 and have the ability to drive by defenders.

Curious if anyone has some inside info on a few things:

1.) Where was Stanley? Is he not healthy?
2.) Is kyky still sick? Not that I expect him to play much if at all this year. I feel like that ship has sailed with Steele, hope I'm wrong.
3.) If Edwards can't get into the first game of the year, why is he not being redshirted?
4.) What is up with Nate Johnson? Guy doesn't look right, and actually looks like he has lost weight
5.) What do these guys do in the weight room? Kunkel gained some weight, but the rest of these guys I don't know.

From my understanding, Kyky is still sick and something is wrong with Stanley (although I have no idea what).

Lets hope the post play greatly improves when Free and Stanley are added into the mix.

Sickness/injuries can kill the depth huh? Hope we don't have too many more issues moving forward.

Same Old Shit. That's what it is. I'm sorry but Travis gets no slack from me. Screw "other teams are having trouble" bs. It may be one game for them, but it has been three seasons for us. I see no indication that anything has changed.

Agreed. I am still irked about how long it took him to realize Hankins and Jones playing on the court together was actually a good thing. He spent half of the season telling everyone two bigs would never work and then finally gave in when nothing else was working and it was like… “Well, what do you know. They are better together on the court.” Even then he pulled away for it late in the season again. He is so damn stubborn in his beliefs - how things need to be done only to realize late in the season he was completely wrong… and then it happens all over again the following season.

So far it doesn’t seem we are seeing anything different this season that we didn’t see last season or the season Goodin and Naji and other poor 3 point shooters opted to just chuck up 3s instead of working the ball inside or driving and dishing. Like you said - “Same old shit.”

When Steele was asked about KyKy and playing time, "Anybody that does well in practice will be able to see the floor."

I can see the floor and up and I'm in the upper deck and I never even go to practice.
