Exhibition games are never on TV - I think.

Edit. Apparently it has been removed from the Xavier Gameday App. It was there yesterday. Only option now is to listen live.

According to Cincinnati.com article……The BE is trying something new for the opening games and will have what they call “whip-around” programming. The broadcast will move from game to game among BE schools. Nobody will see their game in its entirety on TV. The options are to have the Fox Sports App and watch it on your table or computer or attend in person.

I’ve watched many of my old high school’s game these past couple of years on Twitch. Live and in color, and even if there is only one camera and there is a student doing the play by play it’s still pretty cool.

Hard to tell much from this game….Ferris state is just so overmatched… I think Michigan st beat them by 40 just to put it in perspective.

Zach Hankins was the start at Ferris 4 years ago and they played Mich State close when he was there..still nice to see live action

To put it further in perspective….while X is up 52-26 at half, Kentucky is LOSING to mighty Miles College (1,500 students in Alabama) at halftime 46-39.

the depth in college hoops is incredible these days compared when I was a kid(I am 65). 90% of game outcomes were preordained in 1975, probably 10% are now. I told my daughters that Ben Stanley will be this years Sean Omara..hope I am right

Well that was a complete beat down…Kunkel got hot late which is good to see. Looking forward to Tuesday!

Looking only at box score it looks like Kunkel was high scorer with 21 (but sounds like it came from a late streak?) regardless good to see 4-7 behind the line. Xavier beat them by 41, MSU beat them by 40. What does it all mean? Pretty much nothing.

Jones is clearly the best player. Scruggs and Odom set the tone defensively. Mikes started and was 1/3 on alley oops to the basket. Often guards drive to lane and lobbed to Miles, Nunge, and Hunter.
Only Johnson had a poor night shooting(1/6)
Lots of subbing and lots of transition baskets . Odom says we will see a lot of fast drives and alley oops.

I know I will be very annoyed tomorrow if on the FS1 broadcast there are multiple interruptions and color analysts hyping some BE team I really don't bother caring about.
I hope the App FoxSports works tomorrow.

That is just the score page. I dont expect video feed to show up there. Hoping the "watch" tab populates once we get closer to game time, but not feeling too optimistic

Looks like “watch” lets me watch Nova, which I can watch on my TV, and some other non-Xavier stuff. Not having a great feeling about this…..

I hope the people at Fox whip that "whip around coverage" idea into the garbage can. Not a fan. Let the local markets have their team's games. No interest in those other match-ups even if they involved BE schools.

I like the whip around coverage idea but more for Big East conference games. I don’t have much interest in the nonconference slate.

I also had no issues with the Fox Sports app other than I had to download the app to my TV as it would not let me cast from my phone. Not a huge deal but it always seems to take a lifetime to download an app on the tv for me.

Because Fox determined they cannot carry all Big East games on its channels so they offloaded a number of them to CBS Sports. This has been going on for a while.
