This drama over at Clifton Community College is Comical. They are doing everything they can do to find “cause” to fire Brannen and avoid paying that $5 million plus buyout. Cheapskates.

First of all, being “Apathetic toward the players plight with Covid” as some guys alleged in an Athletic article, is not a fireable offense, not even an offense, but an opinion “feeling”. Awwwww, are your emotions bruised, Blahcats? Not only that but 2 guys -Dejulius and Davenport came out in public support of JB. Brannen’s lawyers have to be salivating at this. A wrongful termination & that $5 mil buyout looks like chump change.
What a ludicrous mess, mostly created by social media cancel culture.

The athletic director hasn’t spoke to Brannen or his staff in 12 days. That’s amazing.

Gonna be awfully awkward when they can’t find cause and can’t afford the buyout while Brannen remains the Coach.

Let’s go Mick!!!!! Turned around a historical program in two years. Love it! Meanwhile our bald headed F&$k is doing what I thought he would do in Louisville and that is suck.

I don't know that the program is turned around. He has done a good job in the tournament but remember they barely got in, play-in-game status. Lets wait and see how he does over the next few years before saying UCLA is back.

YTG still can’t coach offense. He just has better guys who can go get theirs.

They just need an anonymous donor to come through for them like IU with Archie's $10 million buyout. I wonder who it will be...

I'll pitch in a buck or two for Travis's buyout.

And yes, UC still sucks. Actually, sucking would be a huge improvement.

Brannen put on paid leave. Should be an interesting off season in Clifton.

Didn't they literally just say they didn't find any violations?

I could be wrong, but think in that case was just a source close to the program. Looks like they are doing a full press on trying to find a for cause firing.

Taft HS standout gives verbal commitment to UC.

Currently #47 prospect on 24/7 for 2023. Still plenty of time to change his mind, especially depending on how his Senior season goes. If he sticks, he could be a freshman on the Bearcats inaugural B12 season.

247 has updated their 2023 prospects and moved Isaiah Collier to the top spot. Believe it or not, they also predict UC as having the best chance of landing him.

what's the tie in here to UC? You don't go to UC or X for that matter when you are #1 unless you have a VERY strong relationship with someone in the program OR this guy has some issues that are causing the big programs to shy away from him

Announced a couple days ago that the Brannen lawsuit was settled at $2.75 mill.

Apparently, Wes Miller showed strong interest in him after his Freshman year.

As far as big programs shying away, not really. Cronin is in, along with Michigan and USC.

Side NOTE- it looks like he played with Kam.Craft at the Skill Factory last year.

And he is now on the staff at VD, can't make this up sometimes.

What really was his signature moment at UC - the Colgate meltdown?

Considering his relationship w/ Coach Grant goes way back, it cannot be a surprise.
