Much to the delight of many here, he is apparently going to transfer.

Transfer? So he is planning on playing college next year. Interesting

I think this is more of a procedural move to keep his options open.

How about go back to OU? He was good there.

Agreed.

He tried and worked hard. Some of it may have been about him being "misused" in the scheme of things, but some of it was on him as well.

Nonetheless, a fine young man who worked hard and who certainly appeared to care about his team and teammates. May he have a great future.

Good luck to you Jason. Sorry this was not the best fit or experience. I have no doubt that you worked your butt off and gave gave us everything you had. I am also sorry that you were not used in a way that could best utilize your skills and help the team more. I hope your next team's coaching staff does not make the same mistakes as this one did and you enjoy much success as an individual, as a player, for your team and your academic endeavors.

That’s not what the Mandela effect is.

Yes, 3 pages in the Transfer Portal thread so far.

felt bad for Carter as he was the 4th best rebounder his first year (Tyrique, Naj, Zach, Carter) and was hoped to step in and put up kind of similar numbers..impossible(Naj rebounded like a power forward). Griffin should have played more for sure but still brings us no where near what we had.

Agree, evidently, he played through an ankle injury from December on that never fully healed. Never said anything publicly, never complained, gave his best. He certainly deserved better from many of the whiny armchair analysts on this board.

I’ve already wished him well in the other thread but now I am wondering if that may have been a little premature.

Adam Baum tweeted he was told Jason wants to weigh his options. I wonder it that simply means he is still deciding whether or not to play another year of basketball or whether or not he will stay at X. I would imagine it is the former, but the rule does state a player entering the portal can come back to the school he left as long as the coach/school does not give up his scholarship after entering the portal.

It seems most here blame Steele, not Carter. As for his ankle, This would only make the minutes he received down the stretch totally inexplicable. I suppose a bum ankle earns extra practice points?

Can't hit Free Throws with a bad ankle. Everyone knows that.

If Steele takes Carter back and gives him a 27min/game role like last season, that is grounds for termination. Carter wasn't ready and will never be ready. It is not his fault.

No posts? He is transferring back to OU. Carter might be a good guy and teammate but he stunk in the BE.

Good for him. Even better for us.
