Oh, no! Not again!

It's that time of year again. Time for faithful fans of Xavier basketball to fear that some bigger, richer and more grandiose member of a Big Six conference will come and steal away their head basketball coach.
Each spring as happened before, some member of the Big Ten, the ACC, the SEC, the Big 12, the Big East or the PAC 10 will get Xavier athletic director Mike Bobinski on the telephone and ask for permission to talk to Sean Miller about their school's vacant head basketball coaching job.
Since 1985, the rite of spring on Victory Parkway and Dana Avenue has become all too familiar to Xavier basketball devotees. First, Bob Staak went to Wake Forest and then the pros, Pete Gillen went to Providence then Virginia, the late Skip Prosser went to Wake Forest and Thad Matta to Ohio State after saying he was not leaving.
