I played it after only a few years of golfing experience probably 10-12 years ago. I remember making a par where Tiger once made bogey (downhill par 3 on the front). My brother and I are talking about Pebble et al in March.

Jason played the back first today (south course) and is -2 under thru his first 9 holes. If he can repeat that on the front, he will be in really good position for the weekend. Sits 5 back currently, but only 3 back from 2nd.

The course is pretty brutal right now due to the wind and speed of the greens. He has to get better around the greens though if he ever wants to contend at the prestigious tournaments, let alone the majors. Just saw he is 167th this year around the greens, that’s outside of even full time tour players.

Turns out the Jaws were not used. Just a pry tool and an ax to get him out through the front windshield area. Still, he’s lucky to be alive.

We already know that he suffered multiple leg injuries. A friend of mine in LA confirmed that one of them was a compound fracture.

He isn’t going to be back for a long, long time. And he will never be the same if he makes it back. Remember, he had just come off back surgery that caused him to miss the Genesis tournament.

Oh, good. I was reading the ticker and it showed him 2-under after 17 at the time I looked at it, and that was very late in the day, so I assumed he couldn’t get it in due to loss of light.

Seriously, that is great news, because you do not want to have to start your day on number 18 if you can help it to finish your first round.

Miraculously, the ball hit a rock in a creek and bounced back into the fairway. He ended up with a pretty decent look at a birdie. It looked like double bogey when the tee shot left the club. So par there was huge.

I wouldn’t say his sand shot on 15 was “terrible” but man those greens are showing zero resistance. That sucker rolled an incredible lot.
But that was a pretty amazing putt on 15 and a quality bird on 16. Back to even up and in the hunt!

As someone who was at the game, the so-called "gator chop" actually had nothing to do with a previous Florida win over Wisc as reported in the media. Pregame, the Wisc fans heckled-clapped our stars as if they cared less with a lackadaisical outstretched clap. JP was just returning the same.

Stricker stuck his nose in Twitter land cause he didn't like losing and he couldn't take it being dished back at him. Road kills are some of my best Xavier memories.

And a huge congrats to Jason hanging onto victory over Spieth to win his second. It's been a fun ride to watch him closely throughout his career.
