Just a head’s up for anyone that wants to get their college hoops fix on tomorrow. X/KSU is being shown on CBS Sports Network tomorrow at 6 pm and midnight as part of its best Tourney games replay. Enjoy...or have your heart ripped out again.

I think I'd rather lick a public toilet seat in NYC.

I know I’m in the minority, but for many reasons (mostly bc I was there and the environment was lit)...It’s my favorite X game ever. I hate that we lost but I could watch it over and over. Until we make the FF all truly good seasons have ended with a loss anyways.

Yup. I was there too. Electric.

I wouldn't go that far, but I never ever rewatch losses.

Can someone refresh my memory. After Crawford made his 3 in OT to tie it Clemente got the ball inbounded to him and ran up the side of the court. Redford cut him off right after he passed half court. I seem to remember they missed Clemente stepping on the out of bounds line at that point. I dont think you can see it on any highlights but seem to remember them showing a replay and he was out but the ref missed it. We would have had the ball around half court with a couple seconds left. Am I making this up or did he step out?

I had a picture on my old phone (since upgraded and picture lost) from our view in the upper deck behind the basket KSU was shooting at of this exact play. I believe he stepped out at least once.

I remember I had a screen shot of his foot hovering the line and the clock at 2.1.
Again I am very biased and I was 200 feet away.

I trust you more than the refs!

Oh this game! Didn't it finish after midnight? I remember just laying in bed afterwards staring at the ceiling and thinking what might have been.

Haven’t read this article (https://grantland.com/the-triangle/digging-in-the-tournament-crates-xavier-kansas-state-the-sweet-16-dream-2010/) in a few years...

It was after 11pm in salt lake, as I remember getting out of the arena and went to stop at a bar that apparently closed at 11pm weeknights. In spite of NCAA tournament games being played half a mile away. Strange town....

Dante Jackson is going to be watching this game live on Twitter tonight and commenting as the game goes. He's apparently invited teammates to participate. Might be cool to check out.

I don't go back and rewatch losses. But I have certainly watched highlights of this one...Will be interesting having Dante live-tweet during it, correct me if I am wrong but he had an open 3 in 2OT that would've tied it? Don't remember the specifics, just remember thinking it was a big miss.

Pretty sure at that point (the year 2010) you would have had to have a member of the bar escort you in as well as their guest. Unless there were NCAA tourney host exceptions. I went to Salt Lake to visit a college buddy who was in grad school at Utah in 2011 and he had to have a membership at the bars and we were signed in as his guests. There were 4 of us including him, we sat down at a table and our buddy stepped out for a phone call. We ordered 2 pitchers of beer and the waitress told us we could only get 1 because we only had 3 people and they were only allowed to serve 1 pitcher for every 2 people. Told her our buddy was right outside and she said she would get it ready but couldnt bring the 2nd over to us until he came back to the table.
Strange indeed.

They lost again. Another double OT heartbreaker. Eerily similar.

I'm with Braun on this one. Game is a heartbreaker, but at the same time it's an amazing game to watch. I believe that season we played them at K state and got demolished. I may be wrong on that but to see them compete with a team like that and push them to the brink was Xavier basketball at it's finest.
When I reflect on the last two seasons I just don't see that type of paly anymore ( except from Tyrique and Hankins). Watching that game just makes me appreciate what we had back then and hope we can get back to that real soon.

There's a part of me that is really glad that K-State beat Xavier in that game. Butler and their fans would be really insufferable had they beaten Xavier to get to the Final Four that season.
