Awful half. Scruggs with his typical lazy fouls and has to sit the majority of the half. Carter is 2 for 75 on layups but continues to chuck them off the backboard from 2ft away and Q just looks lost out there.

Luckily jones is playing like a beast again. Need to tighten up that 3pt D. Hopefully tandy can find his shot in the 2and half. All if his shots looked bad so far.

Xavier is a medicore dumb team when q is on the floor....the game went south as soon as paul went out with the two fouls. If anything, steele was dumb for taking him out and playing q so much.

Freemantle gets murdered and no call....interesting. I pretty much like every other team in the big east and wish them to do well, but butler is effing annoying.

I don't think Steele has figured out which guys to play yet and the season is almost over. If you want defensive stops you dont put Q out there. Moore gives very little on offense but hes a lock down defender. I don't think moore played at all in the 2nd half and Carter sat ever since the thompson injury.

We can beat Butler. When Naji missed those two free throws on our comeback it hit it hard. Then they called a ghost offensive foul on Freemantle wiping out a great putback to bring it down to 6. We are good. We'll be alright.

Did for Jones and he has been the heart and soul of this team the last few weeks. His skill set is driving the lane and drawing contact but all he does now is drive to the baseline and pick up his dribble. Had so many opportunities to drive the lane to get to 1000pts but didnt have an attempt all game. The way they were hacking he would have feasted at the line.

Did Steele feel bad that he got knocked out of the game so he sat Carter the last 10 minutes? He did the same thing against marquette after howard ran into freemantles elbow. Zack didnt return to the game until the last minute or so.

Not sure where you are going with this? Fouls were called dead even at 16. Butler and Xavier fans don't like each other. Butler fans are also a bunch of whining, crying babies most of the time. I wouldn't worry about it.

I actually don’t think we played that poorly tonight. The end of the first half/beginning of the second obviously killed us. While officiating wasn’t the difference, I think Xavier got way more 50/50 calls called against them. That put back by Freemantle was a terrible call. Instances like that can really swing momentum.

And got to hand it to Butler, they made some difficult shots even with Xavier playing some pretty good defense on those shots.

This game actually made me really confident that we will beat them at Cintas.
