Okay to the doubters. Here is your round one Vacation Payer. This is the game that can get you an entire Magic Kingdom trip paid for by Vegas. Drum roll please...
And the guarantee win is... Villanova -5.5 vs St. Mary's.
Couldn't believe this line when I saw it. I couldn't get on this fast enough. Disclaimer of course please don't play with any money you can't afford to lose lol.
I think this will be a fun thread to start for each round of the tournament. I always brag about doing well in CBB season so now let's go public and see how good I actually do (for scientific reasons of course) :perfect10:
A very close second was Yale plus 8 vs LSU. But Nova is just a slightly better play
Agree with the play, but the last place I'd ever want to set foot in is the Magic Kingdom.

UC just doesn't win in the 2nd round - that's all. Iowa finished the year stone cold and Tennessee has looked pretty good down the stretch (outside of a pair of Ls to Auburn).

Really need to start taking notes of your guys infinite wisdom, truly haha. And Xu82, ya never fail to amaze me with the stories you share, truly hilarious. My dad is big on blackjack (not a doctor), but after playing at the table with him for 2 hours (I'm a beginner to intermediate) I couldn't tolerate the criticism for gut decisions I made, best part is I went to Vegas for my 21st birthday with my cousins, was teetering on the edge of blacking out completely at like 4am, hit a hot streak at the blackjack table, as I was winning, I didn't know, and my brother in law was stealing chips and putting them in his pocket, so I'm up like $300, which for a 21 year old is serious change, and I'm like "I'm done, I am going to bed on a good note" and he was like "nooo, keep playing!!" but I completely refused, and as we were cashing out, he pulled out another $300 in chips, definitely sent a text to my Dad with a picture of the winnings and I think he thinks I'm good at gambling or something because of it.

Villanova's a good bet. Also like ASU -1 1/2 over St. John's. UC -3 1/2. If Kansas. St's big man isn't playing I like Cal Irvine +4 1/2. And Northeastern +7 over Kansas.
I'm always wary, though, to talk about the teams I like when it comes to gambling real money. I'm no expert by any means, and I much prefer telling people the teams I won on while forgetting the ones I lost.
My only advice is to listen to Nigel - hopefully he chimes in here.

Baccarat is my favorite table game followed closely by black jack. If you’ve never played in a baccarat pit, I would highly recommend it. Easy game to learn, lots of drama peeling your cards over to see if player or banker hits. Odds are good too.
Chico, thanks...but I don’t know how much help I will be. I haven’t watched much college hoops this year between two boys playing high school and select grade school basketball and a daughter who is a competitive dancer.
My best advice is to go to sportsinsights.com. Take a look at % Of bets and line movement.

Nova got 42.8% of their scoring this year from the 3 ball (9th most in the nation) and St. Mary's is one of the best teams at defending the 3. Nova is 333 in tempo and St. Mary's is 347th in tempo. This game is going to be a snail and laying points in a snail race isn't fun.
It's actually a pretty brutal match-up for Nova and the line has already moved down to 5 so you should probably wait to get a better number if you're going to take Nova.

I like Hall +2.5 against Wofford. Admittedly, I haven't seen one second of Wofford, but they are getting a ton of love from the media, and it seems to me that when a mid-major gets that much love before they actually do anything, it doesn't bode well.
Also, a huge fan of that Yale +8 or 7.5 line. LSU is dealing with a huge distraction and that doesn't bode well for the NCAA tournament. Plus, Yale can shoot the rock.

I don't know what to tell you about the Wofford game.
I've watched a ton of their games this season in person. They can flat out play ball, and have a deep bench.
Often they switch out a full crew like a hockey shift. Mike Young was Sporting News Coach of the Year.
Whether they can stay with the Hall I don't know. But my guess is they can.

I'll have to try Baccarat - all I know about Baccarat is what I learned watching Vegas Vacation. I do love the $5 black jack in old Vegas, though, you lose your money much slower there. And the occasional Texas Hold 'em against drunk college kids.
I'm with you on the college hoops. Kids get in the way of so much - I used to be a much better handicapper before they showed up. I could actually make a buck or two at times. With kids stuff it's much harder to keep up on this, plus you realize it's just not as important as you once thought it was. Much rather watch the kids play their sports than watch the stray ACC game.

Ahhh, blackjack. I love to WATCH blackjack! We were in Vegas during the summer years ago and my wife went down super early to hang by the pool. Wait till 9-10:00am and it’s 108 degrees, removing all the fun from the equation.
I come down a little after 8:00am and head for breakfast. Because it’s Vegas, you have to walk past gambling to get anywhere, and it was no different at Caesars Palace. I stop out of curiousity and watch 2 young ladies, obviously together, and a slightly older guy at the same blackjack table. They all do what makes sense, what the normal person would do in that situation. The women basically break even during the ten or so minutes I’m watching. The guy, making the same basic decisions, loses about $15,000 in ten minutes....before storming off. I’m not sure if he’d been up all night, or just got a bad start to his day....it’s Vegas, so who knows?

Been to March Madness is Vegas twice. Nothing like it.
Excited to see how other places can replicate that to some extent with gambling becoming legal. Vegas will still be a different animal but I would be happy in any sportsbook for March Madness. My dad and his friend have probably been 8ish times. They are going somewhere in jersey this year I think near philly. I know they will have just as much fun as they do otherwise because beer and sports betting is really all they do.

Started going to Vegas in the early 90's for March Madness. A lot has changed out there, but it's still a blast. Even spent one weekend with the illustrious MOR watching the Muskies take it to Notre Dame. I also take credit for Xavier beating Georgia - first game of the tourney and I really didn't want to start drinking right off the bat. However, when they went down big early I started drinking and X started coming back. So of course I had to keep drinking. Day ended well for X, not so much for me.
I highly recommend it, though it looks like now that any seat in the main sports books will cost you money. Used to be mainly open seating - first come, first served - but I don't think that's the case anymore in most places.

I am in a March Madness in Vegas fbook group. Everyone on there is always talking about the paid parties and seats etc. We did not pay for any party or seats. We watched at a bar both years inside one of the casinos that was right around corner from the sportsbook. It was free, right next to the bar, and awesome. Can't believe people pay so much for those watch parties etc.

That first to 15 is a great bet. Whoever thought that up is a genius.
I think the second weekend would be more fun the older I get. Could play some golf in the morning, watch games where it's not overly crowded. You'll need to let us know what it's like.
The other time I'd like to go would be in November just as basketball is starting up and college football is in full swing.

I used to go to Vegas every year for the Super Bowl. Stayed at the Stardust. Everyone said it was a shit hole. Maybe it was....but I loved it. Was only in my room a few hours a night. Shower and shitter were always fine. You could find $5 black jack late at night/early in the morning. Could always easily find $10 black jack tables. Baccarat pit was only $25 minimum. Got treated like a king. Never had to pay for a meal.
Sports book was equally awesome. Put a $10 bet down, they’d give you multiple drink tickets. My buddies and I called Saturday morning before the Super Bowl (We’d get in Friday afternoon and gamble/drink hard) “Hoops And Poops.” We camp out at the Sports Book at 9 in the morning and place small bets and take turns going to the hotel room to poop and shower. We were crushed by mid afternoon.
Went to Vegas a few years ago. The Bengals/Steelers playoff debacle. Stayed at the Hard Rock. Had fun....but Vegas has changed. To get a drink ticket at sports book, had to place a minimum $300 wager. Cheapest black jack I could find was $50 minimum. I know I could go to Old Vegas...but I was lazy. Hard Rock was a sweet hotel though...
