Big difference was they had the playmakers (Baldwin) who could get their shot up at the end of the shot clock. If Marshall doesn't get hurt, wenpotentially have that.

Goodin just isn't someone I want with the ball in their hands and 5-7 seconds left on the shot clock.

Should have fouled again to put them at the line once they wasted 5 seconds and gave them another 30. They were in a 1 and 1 so go ahead try and get a steal and if not foul. They instead let another 30 seconds run off and once Baldwin hit the shot only 19 seconds was left.

You can't foul there in the back court when every second matters the 30 second shot clock resets if you do that. Had they fouled in the front court with 20 or more seconds left then the shot clock would have stayed at 20 or whatever it would been. Knowing the rules is half the battle.

In the end those 5 seconds were pretty important.

Really wish we hadn't blown some real easy ones because the bubble is weak this year, but it's going to take a miracle for us now. Depth would be great but they don’t have it. Q had to play another 40 minutes and Naji 35 with a bum ankle. I think Q has tried to do too much all year and it has caused some issues. His heart is in the right place but needs to make better decisions. If he can slow down, take care of the ball and make open shots, Xavier will be tough to beat.

Today sucked, and Naji getting hurt isn't good. I'm hoping he's healed up by St. John's, he really brought a lot of energy and life into this team, and when he's not hitting on all cylinders, we look different. I'm proud of how they fought on the road, and how they've fought during these past few weeks. Turnovers are definitely our achilles heel, and Butler was very fired up on Senior Night. Credit to their game planning against us, it was smart and worked wonders. We'll see what this team is made of as we move forward. The season isn't over yet, and taking it one at a time should be the mission. Let's beat St. John's, extend the streak, and say screw it and win the Big East Tournament.

in just watching the DVR(as I missed live but followed on phone) it is hard to see how we lost it. My "visual" is that we were slightly in control but I know that is deceiving. I see we had 15 turnovers, they had 10 but we had 2 steals and they had 11. I think a steal initiates offense and I look at Baldwin making tough shots and Jorgenson hitting some 3s in transition. That was the difference but Baldwin is a tough shot maker at Hinkle and not so much on the road from what I have seen. Lets hope Naj is better by Saturday and lets see what happens. damn

Must have hurt his shoulder and knee again. Only possible reason for his lazy passes, careless dribbling, poor shot selection, and terrible decision-making. Yeah, that’s it... gotta be the injuries. Only a clown would come to a different conclusion.
Ok. Not to defend his play yesterday, but god forbid I stick up for the guy who’s been asked to play the most (even more than Naji) in this recent stretch of games at exhausting position. Kyky and Dahmir can’t come soon enough. I think if Naji and Q could get some more blows during games, these turnovers would go down.
