Saw last night that Xavier legend Malcolm Bernard started a GoFundMe for his achilles rehab process. Figured posting this here may help out a fellow Musketeer to his $4k goal.

No offense to Malcom but how does he not have 4k to his name? Is he playing in very low tier pro ball? If that’s the case that really sucks. I always thought socialized medicine was awesome!!!

Not sure if this is really necessary but I'm sure whatever he gets is appreciated. That Arizona win will always stay with me.

That W is aging better and better by the way. Kadeem Allen and Alonzo Trier are on the Knicks (insert joke here). But both are playing well. And Markannen is pretty great. Rawle Atkins and Kobi Simmons are fringe NBA guys. Pretty loaded team I'm not sure how we beat but looking sweeter and sweeter.

this is a perfect example of why government run health care is a horrible idea. Take note Lefties.

Wow... not only is this entire board strictly basketball-related, but this specific post is about a young man, a former X player, who is seeking donations to help remedy a severe injury. And here you are, using the injury as a platform to further your extremely off-topic, derisive political views. Congrats.

Thanks. It is not off-topic at all. He had to come back to the US and have this paid for because the government run healthcare where he got injured sucks. Sucks for Malcolm and I'm sorry he has to go thru this.

It’s not the problem of the healthcare sucks, it’s the problem of that particular health institute or doctor. Don’t tell me he cannot find proper treatment in the whole of Finland. His injury is quite common. Even if the injury can only be treated in the U.S., that only show that U.S. has better doctors, not a better healthcare system.

You got so butthurt by his comment you created an account just to respond to that? Also if you look around the board, it’s clearly not just basketball related, and there’s nothing wrong with that.

Overseas ball isn't glamorous at all unless it's high level. He played great for us in the tournament. Hope he gets lined out.

I love to donate to many causes and there is no way you would do thin unless it was needed. There may be more worthy but as a fan and parent he and that team gave me great pleasure and inspiration, as well as my daughter and friends. We have very well running 2003 cars and a nice little paid off cape cod style house and this is my enjoyment. I must now hunt for a Big East ticket and am sure it will be Wednesday(but 2 years ago I went Wednesday to see up beat Depaul and begin our Elite 8 run.

Hope Malcolm has a speedy recovery. Hopefully, everyone feels that way regardless of what you think of healthcare.
