Last year the famous Lobsters made their appearance in the student section, and we have all seen the picture of JP putting an OMG look on their faces as we recorded our first win in Newark. Tonight they are doing a free beer night to students wearing Hawaiian gear (sounds like a Lav and McDermott night in Omaha).

I was hoping to see him a little more too. Glad Elias was in when it mattered. Paul has to get going again. Q shot a couple shots all the way over the rim to the other side of the goal with impunity. Castlin seems like he just wants to play and not screw up. Anything above that seems to be a bonus for him. Hopefully these guys get going a little bit, or we see more Elias and Welege.

I agree with what most have said. Love what we’re seeing out of Naj, Q’s playing better, great contributions from Harden, and Jones was unstoppable in the first half. What’s crazy is that so much of what hurts this team is fixable. Another 16 Turnovers tonight. I’d say half of those were from being pressed. The rest were careless ball handling or poor passes. Many have mentioned the play/decisions when X has a big lead. The quick shots, long 3s, rushed bad shots...SO much room for improvement.

All that said. Road. Freaking. Kill! Let’s Go!!!!

Loved seeing Harden getting more minutes. He seemed to be involved with some big defensive plays and is looking to really contribute on scoring. Better than just passing on the floor and shy with the trigger.

Yeah I like Harden getting more run too. Wish he'd be more confident at the FT line. I think he is 2 for his last 5.

Also dont love the reason he seems to be playing more is because Scruggs is in such a big slump. But he has been able to give some pretty valuable minutes. That will be big going forward.

Hard to tell from about a two second clip, but he may have been completely exhausted and/or emotional. Other possibilities is that he is still feeling the effects of his injury and he is hurting, or he is just going thru some stuff personally. Who knows...I feel like things are starting to click for him again and I have been a big Q basher this year so im ready to eat my crow.

If Scruggs gets going again like he was a few games ago, and Naji stays hot, and Q continues to get better, things could become interesting. Obviously the turnover thing is a glaring issue, but it's nice to see things starting to look better, it took a while but the team has looked improved. I think they're also enjoying themselves a bit more, all they needed was to break the 6 game slump, and now that they have and have grabbed a few more, the intensity has picked up, and I for one love that.
