What are you talking about? I’m talking about why the enquirer feels the need to bring up Macura’s bar incident (for example) in an article about Jake Walter. The author literally uses 5 paragraphs talking about past Xavier incidents in an article that is supposed to be about Jake Walter (who never even was a Xavier student). To me, it was uncalled for.

When I was reading I was thinking the same thing. This situation really has nothing to with Xavier and it was a shot at X for no reason. The part about Xavier's legal troubles had nothing to do with the story at hand. It was a low-blow from someone who obviously doesn't like X. No other reason for it.

I would have no problem with the article mentioning he was committed to X, but they turned the article into Xavier players and their legal troubles. Walters was never a Xavier player!!

That makes sense. The ridiculous part to me is that past Xavier instances are worlds different than the crimes Walter has committed. Really crazy to put another man's name in an article about rape and sodomy because he had weed possession and went to X. That's something you expect from blogs, not newspapers. Not that there's much of a difference at this point.

No conspiracy theories here this just seems like the type of sordid story that Cunningham would spend a lot of time on and to my knowledge I don't know if he's even addressed it. I just found it odd is all.

Well the station does have a working relationship with the father and Xavier. That might be too close to drum up hype on the story for filling airtime
